No, nevermind trying to discuss it.
Discuss what? The fact that Micheal Moore is telling the truth.

Some may think he was telling the truth. Some may think that he's full of bull you-know-what. And I doubt you're going to convince anyone on either side of that argument that the other side is right.

But the fact that he was booed for what he said in his acceptance speech shows that there was obviously something wrong in his delivery.

There was also a lot of cheering. And if you heard what he said backstage about the media running off and saying it was overwhelmingly negative because of the 4 loud people booing. See another slant to whip everyone up in a pro-war state. Beautiful work. Enjoy your fireworks show.

4 loud people booing? In a crowd of that many celebrities and their guests? Sorry, I don't buy that. Did he look out over the audience and count them all before he moved offstage?

Okay, so he was cheered to. But again, the fact that SOME PEOPLE BOOED HIM shows that obviously there was something in what he said or in his delivery of it that ticked people off.

And I'll reiterate:

And I doubt you're going to convince anyone on either side of that argument that the other side is right.
If that's what you're trying to do with me, stop. I'll tell you right here and now it's not going to work.

About Michael Moore's speech, it wasn't original. He gave the same one at the Spirit Awards just a day or two before the Oscars. He got a better reception there though. I did like that he brought up all the nominees.

Sometimes being repetitive is the only way to get things across to a brainwased nation.

If that were true, Sidcrowe, you wouldn't be flying the Iraqi flag, or any flag at all. The fact is, it speaks volumes. And I think you should think twice about what you're saying.

But in a time of war, flying your flag means you're for the side of the flag you're waving. I don't like Saddam, and I love America, but I feel this is an unjust invasion for oil.
But by flying Saddam's flag, you side with him and everything he stands for. You can make your points about Bush and oil without doing something so obviously inflammatory as this.

Since you still feel so persecuted, let me put it in a different perspective for you. Essentially, you've just come into a community of Jews sporting a swatiska. Yes, you have the right to say what you want in this country. But you shouldn't be so surprised at the negative reaction you're getting.
