Disney deal estimated between $40-60 million

I agree with Luke - it's a reasonable price all things considered epsecially since there is potentially more future revenue involved. Weren't there problems with the rights to some shows like "The Muppet Show" that led EM.tv to dump the company so cheaply in the first place?

Someone really needs to do a Eureka's Castle fan site. Any volunteers?

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

As much as I love the Muppets, I don't think this is just a ploy for Eisner to keep his job. Obviously, the Muppets are one of the most important brands Disney has ever acquired (if not the most important) but if this is all Eisner has up his sleeve to fend off angry shareholders he's in a lot...

    Ostrich Feather Boas

You're certainly entitled to resell the puppet that you made from the kit Trent. I don't think David states otherwise, and even if he did I don't think that the claim would have any basis in law. But Jinx is right, you probably can't sell additional puppets made from the pattern without...

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

I posted a few blurbs about this in my blog. For those not in the know, I included links to a lot of the stories here on MC about the history of Disney/Henson, which goes back quite a way. Do we know if "The Muppets" includes non-classic Muppet properties like Fraggle Rock, Donna's Day...

Sad, sad, very sad "Angel" news

A petition has been launched to save the show. I would imagine Mutant Enemy is going to do their best to shop the show around anyways (and even the WB will attest to the show's outstanding quality) but it can't hurt to add your voice ~ http://www.petitiononline.com/angels6/

    Gluing Technique Help!

Many people carve bodies from blocks of foam, but this is the only method for gluing patterns cut from sheet foam together that I've seen. Even if you're using hot glue the process is pretty much the same. If you're using reticulated foam I know some people will stitch the pieces together...

Comcast makes $54 billion hostile bid to buy Disney

The Disney Board was expected to reject Comcast's initial offer, which was about $3.60 less per share than Disney is currently worth. Comcast will now attempt to launch a hostile takeover and convince shareholders to sell to them against the board's recommendations. There was a similar nasty...

    Lisa Henson

Imdb isn't always a reliable source of information anyways. I've seen numerous mistakes in the Muppet-related entries alone. Their credit lists and bios are also notoriously incomplete most of the time.

    Gluing Technique Help!

First, make sure you're using the right kind of contact cement. On it's label or packaging it should indicate what materials you can glue with it. I use LePage All-Purpose contact cement, but any all purpose contact cement gel should work. You have to make sure you brush contact cement on to...

    Conan O'Brien in Toronto

I remember that! O'Brien has apparently refused to comment other than his line Friday night about how he was "brought up here to make Don Cherry look good." NBC claims that there is nothing to comment on.

    Conan O'Brien in Toronto

CNN just (finally) picked up on this story...it was on Wolf Blitzer Reports. It was so bad in terms of getting facts wrong it was laughable. They were confusing the city of Ottawa, the province of Ontario and the federal government here all the way through it. I mean a lot of Canadians might...

That was a great little show. Wasn't Noel MacNeal (Bear on BITBBH) Magellan?

Sad, sad, very sad "Angel" news

You never know what will happen. The WB also dropped Buffy in it's 5th season. UPN could use all the hits it can find. Don't see where else they could take the series that it hasn't been though. I would like to see the final "Apocalypse" they're always referring to. Maybe even Angel being...

    Question

They seem to occasionally puppeteer both hands when Big Bird is shot against bluescreen, like in the "Journey To Ernie" segments. Presumably someone just stands beside Big Bird dressed in blue and works the right hand. Could be my eyes fooling me though.

    Paper Mache

I've used paper clay for some theatrical projects. For the most part I prefer foam (put me in that "pro-foam" group) because it's flexible.

    A little Mirrormask news

Someone had actually emailed me that information and I posted it late at night without reading it properly. I'm surprised none of us caught my mistake sooner. Thanks for pointing that out. My bad. :o

    Lisa Henson

I have heard that Lisa is no longer with Columbia Tristar and works primarily with Jim Henson Pictures, but this might not be accurate.
