    Now that's capitalism

It's great that `ol Dubbya promotes trade among the nations of the world, but as this story I saw on Scott McCloud's blog illustrates, sometimes that can backfire!

Your Thoughts: Ed Sullivan Muppets Magic DVD

I believe the Muppets were working with pre-recorded tracks wherever possibly until the late 1960s. Jim did most of the voices, but I'm sure that wasn't always the case.

    What was Muppet Time?

Hey gang, I recently heard about something called "Muppet Time." I don't know much about it, except that Andy and Randy Pig were in it. It's possibly from the early 90s and I think it pre-dates "Muppet Classic Theatre." Anyone have any info? Thanks!

    Suggestions on good puppetry literature

I picked up a copy of "Puppet Mania" today and it's really, really good. I could barely get it out of the World's Biggest Bookstore in Toronto because it's a new title and the cashier was flipping through it instead of ringing up my purchase. Everyone who asks about how to get started in...

    "Angel's Great Puppet Caper"

OK here's something very cool if you're a fan of "Angel" (which I am) with apologies to Ryan R from the Tough Pigs Forum, where I lifted this info from: When a popular children’s show begins to steal the life forces of children by hypnotizing them, Angel (David Boreanaz) goes directly to the...

Why do people hate the newer SS muppets?

I think most fan's issues with Elmo started when they devoted 15 minutes of every show to him AND still used him in some street segments. Personally, I don't have a problem with the little furry red guy. *Sticks another pin in his Elmo Voo-Doo doll* :p

    Aaack...excuse me, had a hairball

American Plume may be wholesale only - I haven't ordered from them directly. If they won't sell to you, ask for the name of a supplier/reseller that they could recommend who sells smaller quantities and/or does retail. Most wholesalers will gladly do this for you.

    Ostrich Feather Boas

If you look for dressmaking shops, or non-chain fabric stores in your area one of those should sell them. For just about the best selection on the web you should check out The American Plume & Feather Co. at http://www.americanplume.com. I've heard that the Muppet Workshop has used them as a...

    Voice acting

You can find a lot of voice-related CDs and tapes in most bookstores that have an extensive theatre section. I believe Axtell Xpressions has a lot of materials at www.axtell.com as does Mather Studios (I don't know the URL, but you can search for it on Google).

Muppet article in the Sun paper

Good article, though I'd question whether or not Raggedy Ann is really an "evergreen" property like the Muppets or Mickey Mouse.
