And incidently I love that Janice's "favorite flick of all time" is the Wizard of Oz, it's like she's speaking for Jim (who also adored the film). Somehow I can just picture Janice reading the...
"Cause 'Great Dudley' would sound silly? !" Lol ;)
I loved Dudley in this clip btw, "The name of Caesar will endure forever. My salads will conquer the world!" It's such an old joke now, but he still manages to make it charming, lol.
This is really the height of the Muppets, they had such...
I don't mind if they bring in newer technology and all, to not do so would be silly. But ultimately, it won't matter how modern a show looks, if it doesn't have decent content. That's what will ultimately make the difference.
I had a question about him once in Academic Bowl. Name an actor who was in both a classic TV show and a cartoon. I didn't know Don Adams was in both, but as I was pondering the question, the voice similarity suddenly occured to me, and I got it right! Lol
Another clip from Muppets Go to the...
I think nowadays companies are afraid to be a little corny and sentimental in kids' programs, often at the expense of the message. And they're also convinced kids are easily "confused." There are still some good kids' movies, but they are fewer and far between. And we will end up regretting it...
I don't think that part was mentioned in the last show, it was probably done off the record. I don't blame him for wanting to do that, especially if it was one of the last times he knew he'd get to be there. And sometimes you do need to just stop and appreciate the amazing wonders around you in...
Yeah that would be nice to find out!
It's interesting, my experience was slightly different but very close. My first real exposure was through MC's tribute page, so I learned almost immediately who he was and then that he'd passed away. I hadn't really noticed until then that Scooter wasn't...
Aw wow, really sweet interview! I truly enjoy hearing from Jane again, she's such a pleasure to listen to. And learning more about Richard is very satisfying. I probably enjoyed hearing about the Cape Cod moment most, very poignant. We all need to remember to stop sometimes and appreciate the...
I think management doesn't always want to admit some of the best work has already been done. Instead of being inspired by it, they try completely wiping it from memory. As a result, the entertainment goes down in quality.
I'm very suspicious of the idea that things need to change with the times because that's what people want. Time again it seems to me people prove that they do enjoy older things and aren't demanding anything changed. It's the companies that seem to have this impression of people.
I think that was my feeling too. I liked it better than MFS and VMMC. But it still didn't have the right feeling; too many jaded and cruel jokes. But I will say it was a great shining moment when they brought back Scooter; the puppeteer did a great job! ;)
That's what I really like about his sketches, it's about overcoming a negative attitude. As soon as he comes to a problem, he freaks out and laments that it will never be solved. He always has to be encouraged not to give up, which is a great lesson. Particularly for me, I'm not a big fan of...
Lol, yes that's exactly what I mean! Kids don't always think about these things logically like, "Oh it's only Mickey" or some other character. If a scary looking version of Mickey or whatever suddenly starts moving around in a creepy fashion (as so many of those things did), you're going to be...
