Agreed. There's too much emphasis on making things modern, and not enough on the contest itself. If a show is well written and well produced, that is all that should matter. Not how up to date and hip it is.
He is a dedicated fan, it's just that he has other things in his life nowadays. And he's not going to see the projects he worked on the same way as fans would anyway.
There's way too much concern over modernizing films and not enough concern about the film itself. Just write a decent script, make a decent film, and people will go to see it. It's amazing how that's not being understood these day.
Good question! Well it's not just that I'd want it to be "the way I remember it." It's that I am of the opinion that TV entertainment used to be a lot better, and it would be good for kids to be exposed to that. I'm concerned that kids aren't getting quality entertainment or education the way...
I'm PRETTY sure I remember seeing this and it definitely would have terrified me, lol. Toys always have that potential to be frightening, under the right light and shadow and all, hehe. That's the kind of horror I appreciate, making ordinary things look scary.
Actually this reminds me of the...
Yeah this isn't really the country for that to work, lol. Still, I would have loved to have done it. Something needs to be done about this oil situation.
Hope the ceremony went well!
Well, I haven't seen the DVD set yet, but some are saying that the interviews are kinda disapointing. That nothing new was said and they interviewed some performers who weren't even on the show. And that they showed a couple of shots from Of Muppets and Men...
We can't completely change the world. All we can do, and should do, is contribute to the world in our own small way. As Mother Teresa would have said, think of how much worse the world would be if you hadn't contributed your little bit. :)
"A man died. He seemed a good man. But I did not know him. Don Quixote is not dead."
A person can die, but the meaning of his/her work lives on, that's the whole point. And so what if we have to fight a little harder to put the old decent entertainment back in the public eye? It's the struggle...
I always put Strawberry Fields Forever first, it's so unique and it really represents John to me. He could take a much of seemingly nonesense phrases and make them sound amazing. :)
While My Guitar Gently Weeps, it really creates the mood and it's the perfect song for such a skilled lead...
Cool cover art!
Sorry, I've kinda been busy this week too. Btw, where did you get your avatar, Devco?
From what I hear, the 3rd Season Muppet Show's bonus features are a little disapointing. They didn't go as far with the interviews as they could have. Still, the "Muppets on Puppets" special...
Well I do understand and I am glad that MWoO tried to be more loyal to the book. :) But I still wasn't satisfied with it. Still too many of those jaded and cruel jokes that are out of character and keep popping up in modern Muppet productions. Still, I thought it was better than MFS and VMMC. I...
Yeah flopping's down quite a lot, even on purpose in movies. Though when you see them published in still photographs, they're probably often the "left overs." Though Mrs. Pepper's theory about copyright makes sense.
