Speaking of movies, I'm watching the Wizard of Oz right now on DVD, lol. The film quality is astounding, so sharp and detailed! I've seen this movie all my life, yet I feel as though I'm seeing it for the first time.
You know, something occured to me for the first time while watching this...
Well using Wiki too much is just too easy. It's like Cliff Notes, you can't really be sure if you learned anything. And if the information isn't entirely accurate, it's just not worth it.
Yeah I always say Wiki is good for very quick searches. But not so reliable for a term paper. You can use it a bit, but even then, you should check the info with other sources.
Basically, if you're writing a paper on heart surgery, it would not be advisable to head to Wikipedia!
Oh cool, yeah I signed up for both of them, that can be blast (at least when you have something cool to contribute!)
I like being contrary (or a pain in the neck depending on how you look at it lol) and avoid labels so I don't use the term "feminist" much. I just say I'm a human being who...
I would imagine if all the original puppeteers were still active, the other characters might have continued to be more present. I personally like Elmo when he's the younger monster trying to learn from the grown ups. But since a lot of characters were retired, it's like the kids took over the...
I get the feeling that's a frequent occurence in the business. There's a lot of politics and switching loyalties and going with different people all the time. Sometimes it's for worse and sometimes it's for better.
The history of the Star Trek movies are a perfect example of this sort of...
I don't think we have enough information, at this point anything is a possibility. However, based on the interview Segal did, it sounded to me more like Disney was surprised and even amused he was calling about the Muppets. Like it wasn't something they were desperately trying for at that moment.
Right, when I was talking about diversity, I meant that the show needed to include all the different sort of characters, not just Elmo. :)
And I get the impression there are a lot of child experts nowadays saying we must avoid "confusing" children too much. That adults must always make things...
How true that is, it doesn't pay to be jealous of people. Everyone has their own problems. The Women's Lib movement was good to fight for women in the workplace. Women deserve all the same rights as men to work for a living and persue their dreams. But I think once women did enter the workplace...
Found this lovely little clip, yay for gender equality! Surprisingly, something we've gotten away from lately.

::Sigh:: Turns out I have a throat infection. My doctor says it's not serious and I just have to take the medication. But it's truly the worst...
That makes sense, the Fraggles see "play" as the positive and "work" as the negative (though they do it occasionally). While Doozers are just the opposite. Work is enjoyable and play is irrelevant. It's similar to the difference between the Rock Fraggle and the Cave Fraggles; they simply laugh...
I would be interested if she has any memories of The Great Santa Claus Switch. Also, that little song that Praire Dawn always plays during the Sesame Street paegents, does she recall how that came about? Also, did she ever do the voice of Little Bird for a straight-to-video Sesame Street...
Well I think Cotterpin is more into having fun than the other Doozers. But when she's around Fraggles, there's still more of a difference (as she figures out in her first episode when she doesn't want to go swimming like a Fraggle). Plus there was still more distrust between the species than...
