There were many reasons a film wasn't made. Matt Groening was reportedly upset over Futurama's cancellation likely being the main hold-up. This seems to be partly remedied. But also with the show running full force a movie just didn't seem necessary. It still seems kind of silly even as Homer...
Animal Comparison Photo
Okay, this is the third and last forum spot I'll post this photo link. The comparison shot mocked up for the review last night was hastily prepared and the poser hadn't softened yet at the time the picture was taken. Also the picture was not taken to be used for the...
It is implied. The potential for confusion from the description does create a feeling of bad faith in company practices. Technicalities don't impress customers no matter how fantastic the product is - and it is fantastic! Defending this point just seems disingenuous. Most people thought he'd...
A minor photo correction
Thanks. I tried to be fair.
There was one comparison photo included that isn't a fair representation of the poser after he softens. The one published at the moment should be swapped out quickly for this one. As much as I complain about the MR photos I really needed...
Personally I would like to see Uncle Deadly, Crazy Harry or even Lew Zeland as a stand alone Jerry Nelson Photo Muppet. I know that's beyone a longshot, but think about the coolness of having Crazy Harry in your house!
If MR makes a Scooter I promise not to dress him in outfits. He he.
I agree about Beaker. I feel bad for Bunsen, but the straight man never gets his due in comedy bits. Beaker, as a product, can easily stand alone, but I'd miss Bunsen.
The Simpsons still have a couple of theatrical film options left in their contract with Fox. I'd expect one or two more with a domestic box office gross of $183,132,370 and enormous DVD sales. It will happen.
Scooter!
Thanks for getting this poll in play!
I had a hard time with the Scooter and Rowlf question too, but ultimately I think Scooter would make the more visually striking piece.
I too think Rizzo should have been included in the poll since he is tentatively slated for that release...
Elmo's unfortunate popularity couldn't save Elmo in Grouchland because kids the age the film is geared toward tend to stay home and watch videos. Also Sesame is on multiple times every day. Follow that Bird fared better as I remember.
Fraggles are finally getting their turn. It's difficult...
Thanks. Those were made in Photoshop. They are all flat and printed on foam board. The theater stage has more dimension cut into it. I have collected much Muppet imagery through the years and had recomposed it an added much of my artwork into the mix as well. I really wish I still had these...
MR will reportedly be revealing new info and images soon. I just wish they'd get somebody talented to take the product photographs. Honestly, the ones they have for Animal make it appear like they don't want to sell him. I have him in my home and he looks nothing like those terrible, horrible...
Where the Simpsons went (right for the brand) wrong for the individual motion picture is that they didn't go for broke and held back a tremendous amount. Fans and the general public expected more, but it's still a very good film.
Live Free or Die Hard will definitely have another sequel. It...

I always forget that about Jerry's intent for the film. It makes the most sense and falls within the Muppety tradition! Maybe they'll release a different cut someday? I know, doubt it - probably wasn't shot, but I wouldn't mind if Disney inserted a scene on Jerry's behalf: Muppets from Space...
The Sunday Update from Reuters

That's a pretty triumphant return!
