I can't imagine Gonzo selling more than the frog, who did linger for a little while, and those photos were fairly good. I still think new photos will increase sales, that's what I'm saying. And I also think and hope they've improved the nose issue. That's also what my post said.
That tells me they know their current photos aren't selling the product. I hope the new photos will prove improvements made on the nose.
I'm still waiting for the dang UPS man. It's supposed to get here today and I'm willing to stay in until nightfall to wait for Animal. Musac in my brain is...
That's a cool story with a sad ending. I'm sorry about that. I am certain that your drawings are leaps and bounds above these.
However, I have learned that there are different styles for different markets. Why do the kids get hosed with lack-luster graphics? The bean counters could tell you...
So now it's going to be like a Sci-Fi Channel movie?
This is not what I expected. I am very unhappy with how this has been handled. The Dark Crystal is on my short list of favorite films - practically my favorite film. If this had been planned to be some sort of episodic series or miniseries I...
Good point.
What part was it used for Animal? I thought the replica's lip, tongue and teeth and body are different fleece and plastic materials? I guess the teeth are foam, but heard they are kind of coated in a questionable way? I will know when mine comes soon!
Thanks so much! I'll order mine this week. Maybe one for a friend as well. I'm so glad and honored you used my Jim drawing for May. Very excited. And there's a lot of good art in there. I'm not a big fan of Animal Jam, but the drawing of the characters in August is fantastic. And the cover is...
I can't see a Fraggle film without Junior Gorg so I think they'll find a voice artist who can take him over for the film. I do miss Richard - his menu is up on the MC main page today. ;)
I also think that Jerry Nelson would at least dub Gobo for the film. There's just something so sharp and...
Wow, Anthony. Didn't know you collected so many of those. It's cool to see everybody's interpretation of how Kermit should be posed. By the way, one of mine is posed with my Muppet Newsflash fan art entry. He he. And ugh, that horrible picture of me with Kermit. The frog looks pretty good, but...
This is the new requested thread marking 2008 menu descriptions. The New Years Manhattan Melodies one has passed. The description of it is here in the 2007 Christmas Menu Description Thread.
;) Remembering Richard Hunt :flirt:
Richard Hunt and his beloved signature characters pop up in the...
These are paper plates. Seems that's where things are with such items these days. I thought they were cute too - without being cutsey. The intent here really seems to solidify the characters' personalities to a new generation.
I have the gift of being able to sit down with anybody and easily teach them all they need to know about Photoshop in about fifteen minutes. Ironically nobody could ever teach me the program. I taught myself over a weekend in 1997 and practically became an expert at it in a couple days. If you...
I noticed these Muppet Kids plates my folks had purchased for my sister's kids. These pictures were taken with my cellphohe so they don't showcase the interesting graphic style, but it is attractive if not always character accurate. The gradients are mainly comprised of bold strokes of solid...
Oooh! Very striking visual. I like it. What process and programs did you use? Did you draw and scan or draw digitally? I usually draw and scan. I'll definitely be checking back.
Oh I am so very happy and giddy too! And now I finally have official in-depth word on the official Gonzo puppet's nose coloring. It's what I expected, but now lingering doubts in that area are forever gone.
I have a feeling that poser Gonzo's nose will look better than the prototypes, but...
Maybe it's your feminine side? He he. No, I'm not talking in the realm of absolutes. My post didn't say all television is for women, simply that a majority of non-sport entertainment programs are geared to a female demographic. Soaps, talk shows, judge shows during the day, homemaker sitcoms...
I have always felt that television is more of a woman's medium while film is very male-dominated. I'm not talking actor-wise, but substance. I feel that's why there's such a growing reality television culture. It's mainly marketed to women. And then there's daytime television, of course. But...
The ads aren't great, but they have seemed to do the job.
On another note, I just visited Rotten Tomatoes and read the updated critical consensus on Chipmunks and it's rather brutal. It's almost like some of these people didn't even see the movie, just the trailer, from what they cited...
Wow, that's wrong. I thought that maybe it could be some sort of spelling for an international pin, but it appears to be genuine US. And this classic Ro(w)lf has a tongue like Baby Rowlf does. That's simply incorrect. The rest of the design looks okay - better than many other Rowlf...
I'm so glad you liked it and it seems you got out of it the same sort of feeling I did - not perfect, but fun.
You know, I think the opening of the film in the woods could have been set-up to contain a Paramount mountain logo - to real mountain matching the logo - fade. I too noticed the...
