He he. Once a project comes around I think a Pepe plush could be in the works. You know, I think I've figure it out. Disney can't really put their brand on the Muppets (as in Disney's Great Muppet Movie) without irking too many people so they keep a lot of the merchandise out of the shops. I...
Awww, well thanks. I spent a lot of time sifting through Muppet media and imagery to piece together some of the character representations along with the Palisades team. I reget that Nekkid Rowlf and Steppin' Out Fozzie turned out so poorly. I don't know why Usher Scooter is so shiny-looking, but...
Frogboy Tips
I like to think of an emotion. Something simple. And have the character represent it. It doesn't always come across as intended, but it does make for a good picture.
Also, don't forget all of Kermit's froggy parts. From hands to fingers, elbows to knees, feet and leg...
A totally biased review
Opinions: The end of the Muppet line
1. who are your top five favorite/ least favorite figures?
Faves: Gonzo S5, Beauregard, Uncle Deadly, Johnny Fiama, Dr. Teeth.
Least: Piggy S1, Gonzo S2, Frogscout Robin. Tux Rowlf, Tux Fozzie.
2. were any figures...
I did use some still shots of Pepe (among other things) and re-pieced them together to form a plush appoximation. That's a part of what I do. 2D digital sculpting created to look like 3D.
The composition is certainly not the best likeness of Pepe, but it echoes the look of how Igel handled...
Okay, this picture is very old okay. It is very fake okay. I created a long time ago as a mock up of what an Igel Pepe Muppet would look like. It is not real okay.
 Click here okay.
Actually it's not the best looking Pepe, but a Photoshop creation/approximation of...
The Muppet Show was the project that Jim really wanted to do and campaigned hard for so it only stands to reason that he'd treat it the way he did.
Sesame Street has pretty much taken care of itself. There have always been more SS product and marketing. As a Muppet Show fan I have noticed...
I have mixed feelings about the Fraggle cartoon series. I do know that no Muppeteer was asked to lend their voice to the characters. It was just a different sort of production. I always felt it was cashing in on the higher quality Fraggle name, but it's an interesting little series. I didn't...
Just takes a black Sharpie marker to carefully fill/conceal the brow seam and tap water for your fingertips to style the hair. That's all I've done to him. That's all I will do to him. That's all he really needs. When he first arrives you may wonder if he's worth it, but he springs to life...
The fad of audiences flocking to CG film spectacles is diminishing. It's becoming clear moviegoers want good stories told and made the best way they can be. This means a variety of methods, not just the new shiny ones. I'm been saying that for years. And of course there will be a traditionally...
Too true! :D
I don't think Sesame would be as Elmo-centered under Jim's direction. That's a huge change from his days. Not a better one.
I doubt the Muppets from Space script would ever have been green-lit under Jim. Lip-syncing Muppets, no original music and such a lack of direction...
Just not good enough for that price. At least not until seeing some decent real pictures of it. That's the same touched up photo and they're using the old Henson Co branding. Disney cannot have approved the current design or marketing yet. I'll keep checking in about this curious item. It would...
:excited: Fraggle Rock 25th Anniversary Menu :smirk:
Fade in on a bluish cavern landscape with doozers in vehicles, some driving around, and standing on the towers being built. A cave in the center is filled with a Muppet Central logo in a yellow Fraggle font with a red drop shadow. Two...
Games based on movies generally don't have a high quality reputation (as told to me by my PS3 addicted partner). I guess they think the brand moves the product enough already so why make it shine? Sad, really. I hope the game is good.
Of course the old work is classic and untouchable. I would rather see the characters evolve than repeating themselves or tucked away in some boxes. Also to say that Jim Henson didn't want the Disney deal is completely inaccurate. He candidly discussed his feelings about this in a little known...
I know plenty of people that passed on Kermit because of the $200 pricetag. I mean that is expensive, but understandable. Many just don't get what it takes to make these things or how cool they actually look! Those are areas where Master Replicas could improve.
I don't see why Master...
