Well that does sound promising. They do make a lot of things and Star Wars will always have more die-hard fans shelling out the cash than the Muppets. Just a culture thing I think. Plus Muppet fans can be rather fickle when it comes to paying for something we're not completely happy about...
I felt the same way about the CG until seeing stills and footage from the previews. And I didn't know Carol Burnett was in it! I'm glad. After her embarrassing suit against the Family Guy spoof that she lost (and justifiably so) it's good to see her in a big money, name project with modern...
You know, if this calendar takes off there will be opportunities next year!
They do accept multiple entries whatever the date. My two were drawn quite a while ago! Expect us fans of your drawing to be hounding you to enter this next time. ;)
They must be busy. I wonder if it has to do with restructuring? I hope they don't lose all personal touch with fans.
Maybe a section of fan-contributed photograhs should accompany the order page once they're out. The poor photographs still astound me. Maybe they should focus on one glossy...
Can I say that I hate this thread? It is completely necessary and I understand. I am glad it's here, but I still hate it.
I had to do something similar for a while - purged several areas of my life, internet interaction being one of them. Just had to refocus on the world around me. I gave up...
Either way, this year's Horton looks promising. The animation style compliments the source material. It seems sweet and thoughful, but there is the Jim Carrey thing still...I just don't like him much.
I'm still partial to the Palisades (post series 2) Gonzo, but I'm biased. ;) I want and hope for their photo Gonzo to be better. Terry's was perfect, but the con and preorder pics are inferior to the plastic figure thus far. In fuzzy form this will be the closest to Gonzo we'll likely get to...
I wonder how much they were able to change right up-to-the-wire with the Gonzo photo puppets? If there's still manufacturing changes could be going on? I really doubt that, but I guess it is possible that the nose could have been a separate piece refined and added later. In either case, even...
I wish you'd entered that. It's fantastic. Reminds me a little of Karen Prell's Fraggle drawings. Great job and so emotive with the characters too! :excited:
It's great for members like MuppetCaper to be so positive all the time and I have remarked it as a good thing - except in the cases where some posts redundantly and aggressively attempt to eclipse and void those who have doubts. Please let them do so without having to hear the same mantra each...
Does anyone think there could be an official "Ask MR" sort of resource where, when time permitted, brief questions could be answered? As an example:
Ask MR:
Will the Gonzo replica's inner plastic eyelid contraption be white like the Animal replica or will it be dyed to match the (green...
I just don't see why creative criticisms continually make a few forum members so uncomfortable.
I mean, Muppet Caper, until you started seeking out a little more exclusive inside information than the rest of us you were one of the most vocal critics. ;) Has this been forgotten? Has George...
The fact that there's an STD joke by this movie's Cat in the Hat himself shows a gross lack of understanding, respect and consideration for the much beloved book and author. It was like the Cat's smarmy cousin they don't like to talk about, but always seem to lend him money. Meh. It was...
Cat in the Hat is appalling in so many ways, but I like Elf. Can’t help it. I passed theatrically on the pic, but have watched it on cable a few times.
I have my problems with the whole of Looney Tunes Back in Action but it's a far better film than the tacky Space-Jam. That film inspires...
I agree with you on Wal Mart. They're like a snake eating its tail - andy good they do is neutralized by thoughtless business practices resulting in financially hurting the very people their company is meant to cater. I'm certain the DVDs are discounted other places. These are likely backstock.
