Really? Palisades' tux Fozzie didn't come out right, but series two's was very good and made as # 38 on Toy Fare's list of top 100 toys of the decade and I agree. It wasn't perfect but it was quite good. :o
I do hope they make a poser of him. I'm a bit saddened by that too.
I'm thinking the same thing, but this is a different sort of product. Also Fozzie has been pushed aside in the last three theatrical films and in Muppets Tonight. He's regaining his visibility now, but the pig never really left. Still. Miss Piggy - if done right - will likely be very expensive...
This makes sense. I still hope for Fozzie, but I'm glad to have Piggy and the prawn. And Rizzo too. All three have the potential to be great and make the collection I have seem a little more full. Now I've got to go on a heist or sell some blood. :p
He's done a lot of distasteful things. He acts like the world owes him a debt of gratitude. I lost all respect for him when he posed as Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and still profess to be a follower. It's just gross to me. There's nothing I've ever liked of his, but he claims to...
That's a good point. I know that each Muppet project requires a separate license agreement. Each has its own world. I think every fan kind of picks their favorite one and thinks of that as the true canon. Mine is TMS and TMM. ;)
Music Television (MTV) doesn't play music videos. The Cartoon Network is turning into kids reality programming. And the Disney Channel only plays tween kid shows. It's all about advertising dollars and moving merchandise and there's nothing graceful about it. It all just seems terribly rude to...
Yeah, we sell Diamond Select in the store and it's really hit-or-miss. However, their Angel puppet poser and replica was nice. It's also very expensive. If they are the company let's hope it's something closer to this than that kind of bland Back to the Future stuff.
MR lost the Muppet poser license and we are waiting to hear what other company is taking it over and their character lineup. We have heard that it won't be Fozzie Bear.
I should have read the previous posts before the last one. I just clicked that Season 4 link and was perplexed for a moment.
On another note, I hope the new Henson licenses go to a company with above board strategies. The Fraggle Rock DVD set bait and switch was not in the Fraggley spirit...
Tooth's post cited the same example mine did. That's why I didn't think you read all of my post before responding. I think your initial post was kind of aiming for an rebuttal so I gave a carefully worded and researched one.
I disagree with your take and like Muppetyness of Gonzo's origin...
You are correct. Muppet sizes are really somewhat relative, but tecnically Gonzo is a hair shorter than Kermit and Scooter is an inch or two taller than Kermit & Gonzo. He'd be a good size for a poser. Costuming would be pretty easy too. I just wish he had a higher profile these days to justify...
This is the first and only Skeksis Action Figure to be released ever! I've waited 27 years for this. I sell all sorts of action figures for a living these days and nothing on him seems dodgy to me. He's the iconic version of the character I remember from one of my favorite films. Those Sideshow...
It was that one misleading post that simply read:
"And Season 4 is announced for September 8th"
that lead me to believe it was Muppet-related news. When read alone it appears as if it's Muppety news as this is not a General Discussion thread. It was a misstep and I'm over it. We all make...
Oh, man. I can only imagine that heart-sinking feeling. I have had several locked or dead files over the years. It's maddening. If there's anything you need just ask.
Great news! This is what I suspected. They're pushing this project in time to tie-into the Halloween special. It seems to have all the extras we want too. $26.99 is a little high for some customers, but once it hits Amazon pre-order the price will definitely fall a significant bit. Hope it's...
Exactly. MFS caused the perception in the entertainment community that the Muppets were no longer relevant enough for full-scale projects. It's good to step away from that. Even though it has since built a life of its own on DVD - MFS was the film that really hurt the Muppets' standing in many...
Oh. I misread it. Still, it's not a Get Smart thread. And if I'd come here looking for the Fraggle Season 4 set news the same thing would have happened. :p
