I just hope it isn't Fraggle manga. Ick. :smirk:
I find the interior artiwork for the Dark Crystal and Labyrinth to be pretty bad. That is why I bought one and then stayed away. Far, far away. There's no lack of talented Muppet/Henson property artists as we have seen recently with many of the...
Here's a big welcome to you from Muppet Central's graphic designer. I really enjoy your work and personally have no problem with it. There's always a fuzzy line (pun intended) with this stuff, but your motives seem like ones of fun to me. I think the quality of these pieces honors the Muppets...
If this Fraggle comic does go forward I think we should all submit a little bit of fan art and see if they might include it on the back page like they do with the recent Dark Crystal manga. Fraggles seem to fit with fan art. Never hurts to ask. :coy:
It's also a good marketing tool.
If I were the Frog in Chief of the poser company...from a marketing standpoint I'd make a reporter Kermit first to stimulate sales. I would then go and make the bear. As a fan, I would make the bear first! Starting off with a smaller Muppet would be a good way to test the waters. Still, I hope...
The Miss Piggy costume is basically a Playboy bunny outfit, but just with Piggy ears and a longer dress. Not even the gloves are right...or purple. There's enough maquette work out there with the figures, busts and posers to use as models for these masks. The likenesses should be spot-on. I'd...
They aren't available yet. You can buy them through your local costume shop or online vendors that decide to stock them later this year. Here are the fuzzy snapshots I took of the wholesale catalog from the shop where I work. Some of it is still in the conceptual phase, but these designs really...
Wal-Mart is not collectibles friendly. Those such items aren't created in bulk or kid oriented. I just hope TRU doesn't go that route. I'm sure FAO will be streamlined more than they are now. How much is a mystery. Just sad to see something special like FAO get gobbled up. San Francisco no...
I really like the inclusion of Scooter and Janice. They do seem related due to shape, color, eye issues and the magnificent Richard Hunt. ;) :flirt: I suppose Bean makes for a fun wild card for the youngest. I am wondering if we'll see any chicken pirates? Maybe Camilla will be perched like a...
In my experience most young folk remember Pepe's name more than Fozzie Bear's. It's weird and kind of sad, but it's out there. However, the older collector with more cash to spend on such items would likely prefer a Fozzie Bear. Heck, these days people can't even spell Jim Henson correctly. :)
I can understand not launching this new licensor Muppet poser line with a large character like Fozzie Bear, but I really hope they do. They could go with a Reporter Kermit as I have suggested, a smaller character like Rizzo or Pepe, or maybe even Miss Piggy or Beaker. Just spit-balling. I still...
There are greater injustices in the world than a private seller composing an individual unlicensed puppet and selling it to a private collector for the cost of labor and materials. These aren't being built for some great profit or competing with licensed product. It appears to be a labor of love...
I am so stoked about these inclusions. You've really pegged the eye focus on Rowlf. That's the hardest part with his oval eyes and specific pupil placement. Sam is incredible, of course. His expression is perfect and the feathers are fantastic. I like that you've stuck him with the musicians...
