Finally proof! I looked at the crowd scene photo on Muppet Wiki from "The Muppet Movie", after seeing a tip on Herbert Birdsfoot's page as to where to find him in the crowd. He's all the way on the right in between Count Von Count and Sherlock Hemlock! I just looked and saw him!
And of course-...
This was a fun project.:smile::wisdom::search::super:
I'm looking forward to seeing what all is included on the video release for Sesame Street's 50th. anniversary, releasing next week!
To be clear, Kermit did have a pad on Sesame Street; we see a number of sketches set at his apartment and his most recent cameo on Elmo's World "frogs" segment.
I've since tracked down this episode thanks to recent Muppet additions. Apparently Kermit was staying at Gordon and Susan's...
Thanks for the reminder about the Twiddlebugs segment. I've seen it. And yes- Kermit definitely has appeared alongside Elmo. Elmo is interviewed by Kermit in at least one segment and they both appear in the songs "Do De Rubber Duck", "It's Alive" and "Everybody Be Yo'self". I'm pretty sure...
It's been amazing to finally see high quality screen shots suddenly appear from this special recently on Muppet Wiki, read a description and review at Tough Pigs and even hear an audio clip of one of the songs on YouTube! Now if the special itself might pop up somewhere to be viewed...
AWESOME!!! This is exactly what I have been wanting to find. Thanks so much! And with all the Sesame Street episodes being unearthed recently and that episode guide on Muppet Wiki getting filled in so much, hopefully OlI can find this episode. I SO want to see this one now! I LOVE Kermit on...
I assume you're referring to Sesame Workshop. Who knows? I never thought I'd see "A Special Sesame Street Christmas" on DVD either. It could happen.:batty::wisdom::insatiable::super::smile:
Thanks so much for the information on that! At least I can see a clip of it anyway. Maybe this episode or more clips of it will be on the 50th. anniversary DVD! If someone out there has it, let me know. Thanks!:batty::search::laugh::smile:
Vindication!
I FINALLY found this episode! HOORAY!
Thank you SO much to Muppet Wiki for posting information on episode 2206 recently where a gigantic monster named Dexter stole round items for juggling! The episode did indeed have Telly's citrus fruit getting swiped first (apparently it was...
Thanks SO much for adding all this Sesame Street content on Muppet Wiki! I recently FINALLY found an episode I remember seeing as a child that I have been looking for confirmation on for years! :wisdom::search::batty::stick_out_tongue::frown::laugh::grouchy::insatiable::super::smile:
I've got some of the Time-Life "Best Of" DVD and VHS releases from some years back. It seems that may be the only official way to get Seasons 4 and 5 episodes of "The Muppet Show" in physical media right now. I still hope Disney will one day do an official DVD release....... but I'm not holding...
Nice! Always great to see this wonderful Christmas special remembered by the general public. Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is a classic for sure! Great book and great special.:)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Mainly Gaffer and Brewster.;)
(Well, not really missing them that much- lol- but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing them again.)
A bit more seriously though- George the Janitor! Glad to see Wayne and Wanda have made a bit of a resurgence in recent years- hope that continues. Oh yeah- and Thig and...
Well, it's always nice to see new Muppet material in general. And I do think the voices were a bit better here. (Still not really digging Link's voice, but oh well.) I give it points for having some Muppet silliness there. I take off points for slipping in (albeit disguised) foul language...
