Chapter 5

Hey everyone, here is Chapter 5. I would have posted it last night but I couldn't get onto the site for some reason. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter. I probably won't be able to post more until after I see the new Inidiana Jones movie wednesday at midnight, because i'm just too excited for it (for the movie and the date i'm bringing with me!) :flirt:

Anyway, enjoy!

Arianne fished out her corkscrew from her apron, and attempted to uncork the wine without giving anyone a black eye. I hate opening wine, I can never seem to do it right, she thought to herself. Arianne couldn’t help but notice that the frog seemed very distracted, unable to take his eyes off of the attractive lady pig sitting next to him. Aww, young love is so adorable; I really hope they hit it off. Thankfully, she uncorked the bottle without spilling anything and without sending the cork into space, or into someone else’s soup. She held the cork close to Kermit’s face and asked, “Don’t you want to smell the cork, sir?” It was always customary when serving wine to have the customers smell the cork, which was one of the ways to make sure the customers thought the wine to be satisfactory.

“Oh, uh, of course”, said Kermit, trying to hide that he had no idea what was going on. He sniffed the cork, promising to himself no matter what it smelled like, he would look like he liked it. “Mm-hmm, smells good” he said.

“Mmm, yes” uttered Piggy, not really talking about the wine, but about how wonderful Kermit looked and how nice it was for someone else to be in control and handling everything for a change. Piggy was used to handling everything on her own, and often being stern in order to do so. She could definitely get used to being around the frog, who seemed to bring out the soft side in her

As Arianne began to pour the wine into the champagne flutes she brought over she said to Kermit, “Would you care to taste it first?”. This was the other way to make sure the wine was to the customer’s satisfaction.

“Well, uh” said Kermit with very little confidence at all. He had no idea what to do. Should he taste it? Dining edicate wasn’t really taught at the swamp. As long as you didn’t tangle tongues on the way to a tasty snack or eat off of someone else’s plate, you were acting with proper manners in the swamp.

Piggy casually leaned over to Kermit and very sensually placed her lips near Kermit’s aural organs to whisper to him, which gave Kermit an anything-but-cold chill up his spine. “I think she’s supposed to”, whispered Piggy. Piggy wanted to help him without sounding superior, knowing how much a damaged ego affects a man, but when it came to edicate, she knew her stuff.

“Uh, would you taste it for us please?” said Kermit with as much confidence as he could muster, showing Piggy that he trusted her completely. He thought that Miss Piggy was very elegant, and would know what to do in situations like this.

Arianne took one of the champagne flutes and sampled the wine. No wonder the manager is trying to get rid of this stuff; it tastes terrible! She did all she could to hide the dissatisfaction in her face, knowing that the frog was a little short on cash and trying so desperately to impress the lady. She gave her head a slight nod and said, “Excellent choice, definitely one of the best wines in the restaurant!” Little white lies, okay maybe a bigger white lie, is allowed when it comes to love, she thought.

“Should be for 95 cents”, said Kermit.

“Oooh”, said Piggy. Being frugal is a good quality in a man, especially when he will need the money to buy her nice presents from time to time!

Arianne took away the flute she used to sample the wine, replaced it with another, and filled both glasses, placing the open bottle back in the ice bucket.

“Thank you, that will be all for now”, said Kermit

“My pleasure”, said the waitress as she curtsied and went to go take care of other customers.

Kermit held up his glass, looked Piggy straight in the eye and said, “Here’s to you Miss Piggy”. Piggy let out a small, audible sigh, as they clinked their glasses, for she was obviously very touched by his little toast. “Drink up” said Kermit before he took a sip from his own glass.

Piggy continued drinking her glass of wine after Kermit put down his glass. I need to calm my nerves, she thought to herself. She downed the rest of her wine and delicately set her glass on the table. Her mind was racing, and her emotions were out of control.

Kermit stared at Piggy intently as she finished her wine. She looks absolutely gorgeous, he thought as he quickly gave her a once-over, unable to take his eyes away from her.

She let out a small giggle as she felt the bubbles of the wine tickle her upper lip.

“Makes me ticklish”, she said quietly.

“Uh, the wine?”, asked Kermit unsurely, starting to feel a little hot under his collar. Is it getting warm in here?

“Everything”, said Piggy without thinking as she looked into his eyes, then looked down, afraid of what his reaction would be to her brutally honest disclosure

Kermit found himself looking away as well, feeling he would be forever lost in those big blue eyes of hers if he didn’t. He had no idea what to say or what to do; he never felt like this before. His emotions and feelings for her were rising like a tidal wave. His brain and his words seemed to have lost any connection toward one another. He looked around, trying to find the right thing to say “Beautiful evening, isn’t it?” he said as he turned his eyes to her once again, completely hypnotized by her, and not knowing that he was slowly edging closer to her.

“Mm-hmm”, mumbled Piggy as she nodded slightly, also not realizing that she was leaning towards Kermit.

“And uh, the moon is just lovely” said Kermit, never taking his eyes off of her. All he could think about is her eyes and the strong desire to move closer to her.

“Mm-hmm”, muttered Piggy to agree. Kermit could have said anything at that moment and she would have mumbled the same thing.

“But… you know, Miss Piggy, the moon doesn’t look like you”, said Kermit, who shook his head as he was sure that nothing beautiful in nature could look as lovely as Piggy did this moment. His head was reeling, the only direction he knew or even wanted to know was closer to Piggy. He wanted to kiss her all this time, as soon as he saw her at the pageant he wanted to kiss her, but didn’t have the courage until this moment, when nothing would stop him from kissing her.

Piggy let out a light moan. She could have melted over the sweet words he said, but remained glued to her seat in order to edge in closer and closer to Kermit. How she longed to kiss him, more than anything in the world she wanted to press her lips to his. The energy between them was so intense; she thought she was going to burst with happiness. They were so close, just mere centimeters from colliding their lips together. This is so wonderful, she thought.

This is so wonderful, he thought!

“Miss Piggy”, the waitress said as she was absent-mindedly cleaning a plate. Whoever Miss Piggy was, she had a phone call from an annoying and sleazy sounding man who said it was urgent. “Miss Piggy” the waitress called out again in the dining room.

Piggy thought she heard someone calling her name, taking her only slightly out of her romantic fog just enough to slightly turn her head to the sound and….

Kermit cupped her chin with his hand, pulled her towards him the mere inches he needed and kissed her with the longing and passion of a frog on a mission, having really no idea what he was doing, only knowing that he wanted to with all of his might.

Piggy’s entire body tensed the moment Kermit took hold of her chin and started to kiss her, but as soon as Kermit was passionately moving his lips against hers, she released all of the tension in her body and put it into her kissing. She lost all control, and feeling in the rest of her body for that matter. All she could even try to think about was how great this was. So frogs are great kissers, at least this frog is; this was one the thoughts that were swirling in her head.

Kermit could feel her tense up at first, wondering if he was too bold, but then he felt her completely relax and respond to his kiss. He was almost taken aback about how passionate it was, only that would take him farther away from her, which was the exact opposite of what he wanted. He felt so alive and wonderful. He never wanted this to end.

The waitress looked up from cleaning her dish and saw the two lovebirds she was serving wine to earlier kissing like there was no tomorrow. She slowly backed away to go clean dishes; the sleazy man on the phone could wait another minute.

After what seemed like an eternity to the rest of the restaurant, and only a few seconds to Kermit and Piggy, they released from one another. Piggy sat back in her chair to catch her breath so she wouldn't faint on the spot, and Kermit just sat in his chair, touching his lips, to see if they were indeed moist, proving that this wasn’t his dream. He just finished kissing the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and by the looks of it, she enjoyed it just as much as he did.

Trying to break the tension in the restaurant, Arianne came up to Miss Piggy, lightly tapped her on the shoulder and said, “Uh, excuse me, are you Miss Piggy?”

“Uh, yes?” Piggy said, amazed that she had the ability to say anything.

“You have a phone call miss” the waitress said as she pointed toward the direction of the phone, which was unfortunately the opposite direction of the lady’s new love interest.

“Oh! Uh” Piggy was unfortunately snapped back to reality. It must be her agent. If she kept him waiting, that could mean a lost job! “Uh, Kermie?... I did place one phone call to my agent” she said as she sensually caressed his chin. “It will only be an eensy teensy moment” She hated to go but she hadn’t had an acting gig in a few weeks and could definitely use the extra cash, especially if she was going to have someone special in her life for a while. She got up from her chair and delicately ran to the phone to have a brief, very brief conversation with her agent.

“What the hey” Kermit said with a smile on his face, anxiously waiting for her to return…

“That was a great kiss!” said Piggy as her and Kermit were sitting back on her loveseat, casually holding hands as they looked back on their date. “ I can’t believe that vous didn’t want to put that in the movie!”

“Oh, come on Piggy” Kermit said jokingly. “You know if I put that kiss in the movie, we would lose our G rating!”

Piggy giggled as her face flushed “I guess you’re right”

Kermit laughed a little himself “Yeah, it was a great moment, But why did your phone call with your agent take so long? Did Doc Hopper kidnap you in the phone booth; Is that why you didn’t come back right away?”

Piggy hesitated…

Nice... Happen to like Arianne's interactions the most, funny to see her/you in Steve Martin's role, and as a more civilized restaurant servicer. Looking forward to the next part.

Chapter 6, part I

Hey everyone,
Here is part I of chapter 6. I figure I should post it in two parts because it would be way too long if I posted it all at once. The first part is a little short, but it's sweet. I will post the second part of Chapter 6 later on today. Enjoy

“Well, you see Kermie,” Piggy said while wringing her hands. I have to tell him the truth; he deserves the truth. “I did talk to my agent that night, and he found moi a job that paid quite a bit of money shooting a series of commercials. So I uh, went to moi’s hotel room to pack moi’s things and that’s when Doc Hopper and his thugs grabbed moi”

Kermit sat there next to her for a minute, trying to understand it all. Then he looked up at Piggy and could tell that she was worried. “So, what you’re telling me is that after you talked to your agent, you were going to leave, without even saying goodbye?”

“Yes Kermie, but”

“And the only reason that you didn’t, is because you were kidnapped!” Kermit was obviously distraught by this news. He remembered that night that at first he thought she just left, but when Doc Hopper called him at the restaurant and said that he had her, he just thought that he grabbed her when she went to answer her phone call. He never thought that she actually did leave! He stood up and went to go sit on a chair across from her, but Piggy thought he was leaving and ran to stand against the door.

“Oh please, Kermie, let me explain!” she pleaded. Kermit looked up at her briefly, then sat on the chair across from where they were sitting before, his face buried in his hands.

“Why would you do that Piggy? How could you just leave without saying goodbye?”, Kermit said to the floor.

Piggy knelt down next to him, tears filling in her eyes. “Oh Kermie, Moi was afraid. I haven’t had a decent job in months, and I thought if moi turned that job down, moi may never find another one. But that wasn’t what moi was most afraid of ! I fell in love with vous so quickly Kermie, that moi was petrified of being hurt again. Moi has been hurt so many times in the past by love that moi was to the point that I would never really find true love” Piggy then grabbed his chin and lifted his head so that their eyes met. “But when I met vous, vous were so wonderful and charming that I thought vous were too good to be true. Moi got scared and moi ran. It was the worst mistake moi has ever made and I regret it every day, especially when I look at vous. Moi am so sorry Kermie, can vous ever forgive moi?” She couldn’t say any more. All she could do was look at him, waiting for his response, on the brink of meltdown.

He stared into her eyes intently when she pulled his face up to see her. Her eyes were wet with tears, but still just as lovely, maybe even more. He understood what she was trying to say. He had been hurt by love in the past too, and the fear of being hurt again can be very powerful. He still was hurt, but thought it was best to put the past behind him. He wiped away the tears from her eyes and said with a smart-aleck smirk on his face,” I guess I should be thankful that Doc Hopper kidnapped you, or I might have never seen you again”.
Piggy let out a little laugh and smiled at him, “And you might have never met Rowlfie” she said as she kissed his cheek.

“Yeah, that’s true. But Piggy, the next time you get afraid, promise me that you’ll come talk to me about it, or talk to someone else if you feel like you cannot talk to me. The last thing I want you to do is run away.”

“I promise Kermie”, said Piggy as she put him in one of her suffocating hugs, very relieved that she told him the truth and that he forgave her. He was right; she could have never seen him again if Doc Hopper didn’t kidnap her, which made her hug him even harder.

While trying to catch his breath, Kermit turned his thoughts back to that evening once again, picturing himself slowly draining the rest of the wine bottle waiting for Piggy to come back. He remembered himself slowly getting sadder there waiting for her until…

Chapter 6, part 2

Here is the rest of Chapter 6, hope you enjoy it.

Oh an Count, there's still plenty of fight in the penguins, I wouldn't count your chickens just yet..

:zany: Go Pens!

Kermit sat there at the dinner table, after drinking the rest of wine he bought, sulking and feeling sorry for himself. It had been over forty-five minutes since he shared that amazing kiss with Miss Piggy, now nowhere to be seen. How could I have been so stupid? A beautiful pig like her an actress and model…how could she be interested in a lowly frog like me. He continued to sit there wallowing in self-pity until he heard the tinkling of piano keys not too far away of him. Well, she’s obviously not coming back, might as well go see where the music is coming from.

Kermit got up and walked to where he heard the music playing. He spotted a piano that was hidden underneath what looked like a tight row of sawed-off tree trunks, but that was not the most unusual part of the picture. Playing the piano was a dog with dark brown fur and floppy ears. Kermit couldn’t tell what breed of dog he was, probably just a mix or a mutt. He was playing the piano very well, the soft, syncopated rhythm of the tune casually drawing Kermit closer and closer to the source. The dog looked up and saw the fancy-dressed frog looking at him, and turned on the piano-man or in his case the piano-dog charm to an obviously troubled amphibian.

“Evenin, Rowlf, Rowlf the dog. Sit yourself down”, said Rowlf as he tilted his head, indicating for the frog to sit down on one of the stools set up at the bar in front of the piano.

“Kermit, Kermit the frog”, said Kermit as he sat down, hoping to take his mind off the pretty pig that had obviously left him high and dry.

“Pleased to meet ya”, said Rowlf as he entered into a fiery flourish of the ivories,“I’m no hyphist, but I get by”, he said as he continued playing a random tune.

“That was.. That was very nice”, said Kermit as he tried to sniff back the emotion he had welling up inside.

“Oh, hey broken heart right?” said Rowlf, looking concerned for the frog.
Does it show?” asked Kermit, not wanting to look pathetic but not being able to do anything to prevent it

“Listen, when you’ve been tickling the ivories as long as I had, you’ve seen a broken heart for every drop of rain, a shattered dream for every fallen star” said Rowlf as he was appropriately accompanying his words with a dramatic sad flourish on the piano, remembering the couple of times his heart was broken.

“Exactly, she just walked out on me!” said Kermit, still finding it hard to believe and almost refusing to accept it. The first time I felt that much towards someone, and they just up and leave, it can’t be true!

“Yeah, typical”, said Rowlf “That’s why I live alone.”

“You do, huh” said Kermit

"You bet! I finish work, I go home, read a book, have a couple of beers, take myself for a walk and go to bed” said Rowlf as he starting playing the intro that popped into his head. He had a feeling that a song was coming on, and he always knew what notes should come with it.

“Nice and simple”, said Kermit, thinking that maybe he should have stayed at the swamp, where his life was nice and simple and not wrapped up in all this chaos and beautiful lady pigs

"Stay away from women! That’s my motto” said Rowlf

"But I can’t” said Kermit, thinking maybe he should go look for Miss Piggy, even though she was probably long gone.

“Neither can I. that’s my trouble” admitted Rowlf, reminded of the many breeds and pedigrees he chased after in his lifetime. With that thought, he entered into song..
You can’t live with em, you can’t live without em. There’s something irresistible-ish about em. We grin and bear it cause the nights are long, I hope that somethin’ better comes along!”

"I see what you mean” said Kermit. He decided to join in..”There’s no good complaining and pointless to holler..”

"If she’s a beauty she’ll get under your collar!” chimed in Rowlf

She made a monkey out of old King Kong” said Kermit, thinking Miss Piggy could make a monkey out of anyone, and probably did.

I hope that somethin’ better comes along” they both harmonized, as Kermit got up off the stool to stand next to Rowlf.

Still, it’s fun when you’re fetching and agree to see an etching that you keep at your lily pad” sang Kermit as Rowlf played along. “There is no solution. It’s part of evolution

The pitter patter of souls, the little feet of tadpoles” sang Rowl

“Uh, Rowlf, tadpoles don’t have feet” said Kermit

“Oh, sorry about that” said Rowlf, thinking he should have paid more attention in Biology class, but he was quickly playing into the final verse and forgot about it “2, 3, 4

There’s no limitation to mixin and matchin’” sang Kermit

Some get an itchin’ for a critter they’ve been scratchin’. A skunk was badgered, the results were strong. I hope that somethin’ better” sang Rowlf

I hope that somethin’ better” sang Kermit

I hope that somethin’ better comes along!” they both harmonized as Rowlf added a little scat to his playing of the flourish at the end. They both nodded at each other, acknowledging the catchiness and truthfulness of the tune.

“Say, me and a couple of my friends are heading out to Hollywood to become rich and famous” said Kermit “We can sure use your talent. I know you like you’re nice and simple lifestyle, but I would love it if you joined us.”

“Nice and simple isn’t all it’s cracked up to be” said Rowlf. “ I could use a little adventure, and who knows, maybe we’ll hit it big! Sure, Kermit, I’d love to come along!”

“Oh good!” said Kermit, excited to have Rowlf join the team, but still upset that it would be missing one female pig.

“Kermit the frog? Oh mister Kermit the frog sir” said Arianne, the waitress that served Kermit and Piggy earlier. She ran up to Kermit and Rowlf, excited that she finally found the frog.

“Uh yes?” asked Kermit

“You have a telephone call. I think it’s your lady friend, and she sounds kind of worried” said the waitress

“Oh, uh thanks” said Kermit, wondering why Miss Piggy would just up and leave, and then call him at the restaurant. “Well, I better go see what’s up with her, but thanks again Rowlf, and welcome to the gang” said Kermit as he ran toward the phone.

“Looks like you made a new friend Rowlf” said Arianne
“Yeah” replied Rowlf “It’s not often you find a guy that green, have the blues that bad!”

“Very true, I wonder what happened to his lady friend?” said Arianne

“Gee, I don’t know, but I’m sorry to have to tell you that I’m finally leaving this joint. The frog asked me to join his friends on their trip to Hollywood to find fame and fortune, and I just couldn’ t pass it up”

“Well good for you Rowlf” said Arianne as he scratched behind his ears “I’m sure going to miss you, but I wish you all the best”

“I’ll miss you too, Arianne, you take care of yourself kid!” said Rowlf as he kissed her hand, then started playing one of her favorite tunes.

“Will do, I better go find the boss and tell him we’ll need a new piano player” and with that she kissed Rowlf on the forehead and went to go find the manager.

Rowlf thought to himself that maybe women were pretty great after all. He collected his tips and went to go pack his things.

Meanwhile, Miss Piggy was trying to wrench free of Doc Hopper’s grip on her, but he held her devastatingly tight and the ropes around her body definitely weren’t helping. She was just about finished packing her things in her hotel room when she heard someone knocking. She was taking the coward’s way out and running. Her agent got her a great new job shooting a series of commercials and that plus the fear of being hurt by another man put her over the edge and into flight mode Oh he seems so wonderful, but I just don’t know if I can take being hurt again. He just seems too good to be true..

Desparately hoping it was Kermit on the other side of the door coming to find her, she opened her door and was ambushed by several of Doc Hopper’s thugs and taken to an empty storage shed not too far from the motel. She now found herself way too tight in Doc Hopper’s grip waiting for Kermit to answer the phone after the waitress went to go get him. What if he’s angry at me and doesn’t come to rescue me? I probably deserve it! Why did I get myself into this mess! She thought to herself.

Uh, uh hello?” said Kermit through the receiver. Oh thank god, he answered Piggy thought. She knew what Doc Hopper told her to say but she figured she only had once chance…

"Oh Kermit, I’m so sorry! Please don’t listen to him, I’m so sorry, I’m so…”cried Piggy before Doc Hopper took her mouth away from the phone and silenced her with his hand.

“Piggy is that you?” said Kermit, obviously worried. She sounded frantic, is she ok?

“Yes that’s her, and this is Doc Hopper!” said Hopper menancingly into the phone. Kermit gasped. Oh no, Doc Hopper has Miss Piggy. She didn’ t leave, he kidnapped her. It’s all my fault, she would be ok if it wasn’t for me! Kermit thought to himself.

“Now you listen frog and you listen good! Step outside the motel right now, my guys will meet ya there” said Doc Hopper

Ok, don’t panic! It’s obviously a trap. I’m not going to let him get me that easy, Kermit thought. “Well, uh, Well what if I don’t?” said Kermit defiantly. There, take that Hopper!

“Then your girlfriend will be ham hock for breakfast!” said Hopper as he chuckled while hanging up the phone. Piggy successfully fought out of Hopper’s grip to plead to Kermit not to come, “Oh Kermie please don’t do it, don’t…” was all she could say before Hopper hung up the phone and tied her up to a support beam in the shed and gagged her.

Kermit hung up the phone and went to go meet Hopper’s thugs. I have no choice, I can’t let Piggy get hurt because I won’t do his commercials. Part of him was actually excited that he would get to see her again, and he worried that she was alright. Who knows what Hopper could have done to her already. Why does everyone I meet get put in danger! Maybe I should just go the rest of the journey alone, if I ever get out of this mess!

Kermit took a deep breath, stuck his chest out and walked confidently outside of the motel. I need to face this like a frog he thought to himself. He only stepped outside mere inches before he was surrounded by men and very large guns. Ooh boy, he thought. “Uh, uh, are you the guys I’m s’posed to meet?” he asked, already knowing the answer..
