This story is SOMETHING ELSE! Keep it up!

"The Moon Doesn't Look Like You..." I know that's Kermit's line from the scene in The Muppet Movie, but I feel like I heard it somewhere else as well...hmmm...Oh, yeah! I remember now. /:smile:

Update coming soon!

I know I need to update. The past couple days have been crazy since Pitt Law offered me a spot so I have been switching everything (money, paperwork, sanity) from Duquesne law school to the University of Pittsburgh school of Law. Don't get me wrong, Pitt was my first choice and i'm elated, but it's just been frantic since I had very little time to make up my mind.

But, I digress

I promise that the final chapter to this fic will be up by monday. I was going to wait to post the last chapter on my birthday on the 16th, but I figure that was too long to wait. It's all in my head, I just have to write it down and mix in tons more muppety goodness.

The final chapter will be up by monday, i promise

Aw... Is okay, we can wait. And I'm glad you were able to get accepted at the law school of your first choice. I remember when I started out... Man, that was a crazy weekend so many years ago. Lots of personal stuff going on before I started law school at the UPR. And now, I have to take a couple of summer courses to get enough creds to finally graduate with my own JD title.

Hope everything falls into place for you Arianne on this bold new venture.

Final Chapter, part 1

Hey everyone! I decided to post the last chapter in two parts to make it more exciting. Anyway, here's part I of the final chapter of "The Moon Doesn't Look Like You". I'll post all of my thank you's and such when I post the final part. Anyway, enjoy!

The set was bustling with excitement. Today was the day that they were shooting the Miss Bogen County Pageant scene, and Jim decided to shoot the scene on location at a local county fair, in order to keep the feeling of the atmosphere accurate in the film. The scene required a lot of extras, but Jim decided just to use all of the fair-goers that day, and there were a lot of them. Many families were out and about the fairgrounds enjoying the hot summer day, carnival rides, and the famous cuisine housed under many tents all over the place. Teens were out together riding the ferris wheel and many boys were trying to win stuffed animals for the girls at the carnival games. Elderly people were sitting in park benches in the shade, just watching the variety of life around them, enjoying seeing the happy faces and bright sunshine.

Kermit arrived at the set around 9:30, ready to start shooting the scene at ten o’clock as Jim requested. He wanted to get there early to make sure everything was set up and ready to go on time. He also wanted to be there early to try to figure out what Piggy was up to, and what her script changes were going to be. He didn’t think it could be anything too drastic, but with Miss Piggy, he was starting to see that anything was possible. He started walking around the fairgrounds, heading towards the make-shift stage that Jim had built for the beauty pageant, when he ran into Fozzie.

“Oh Kermit, I am so excited for today! Three comedy geniuses, Edgar Bergen, Charlie McCarthy, and the legendary Bob Hope are all here!” Fozzie said with so much excitement that he could hardly contain himself.

Kermit forgot about all the celebrities that had cameo roles in this scene. He would have to go to each star later and thank them for appearing in the movie. “You forgot about Richard Pryor Fozzie” said Kermit.

“Four comedy geniuses! What a day! I’m going to go talk to all of them and see if they can give me any pointers. I’m gonna rake in the laughs today my froggie friend, you’ll see!” said Fozzie as he playfully nudged Kermit in the shoulder.

“That’s great Fozzie, but don’t tell them too many of your jokes or they might leave the set” said Kermit to the back of Fozzie’s head, for Fozzie had already left to go find Bob Hope before Kermit even started talking.

Oh Fozzie, said Kermit to himself as he continued heading towards the stage, only now to be bombarded by a more-than-usually excited Gonzo.

“Today’s the day, Kermit! Today’s the day I get to soar into the great beyond by balloon and land tremendously hard onto a moving car! It’s going to be the best part of the movie!” said Gonzo.

“Just try not to get hurt too badly Gonzo. Jim said we won’t be able to afford insurance coverage much longer if you keep on not using a stunt double” said Kermit

“And let them have all the fun, no way Kermit! I’ll be careful, but not too careful. I better go find Camilla and remind her about my perilous flight today. Maybe she’ll faint and I’ll have to give her mouth to beak resuscitation!” said Gonzo as he mischeviously raised his eyebrows and sauntered towards one of the many dressing tents set up for all of the actors.

Knowing Camilla, she’ll probably peck him to death for pulling another crazy stunt, thought Kermit. He saw Scooter and decided to catch him before going to find Piggy.

“Hey Scooter, is everything ready for this morning’s shoot?” asked Kermit to his trusted go-fer everything.

“Sure, boss! Bob Hope just finished putting on his costume and is serving ice cream to kids, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy are sitting by the pageant stage, Richard Pryor is blowing up helium balloons for Gonzo’s big stunt and all the equipment is ready to go to shoot the scene” said Scooter as he went down his checklist.

“Great” said Kermit. “Do you know if Piggy has arrived on set yet? I told her not to be late today” Kermit said.

“Oh she was here hours ago with all the other pageant girls, getting ready for the scene” said Scooter nodding towards the dressing tent they were closest to. “I tried to go see what they were up to, but I was kicked out!” said Scooter with a disappointed look on his face.

“Really?” asked Kermit. What was she planning? “Well, I better go find her and she if she’s ready” said Kermit with a different agenda entirely. He was heading inside the dressing tent when Jim tapped him on the shoulder.

“Ready to start shooting the scene Kermit?” asked Jim.

“Oh, um yep! We’re all ready to go. I was just going to find…”

“Great! Let’s get into starting position to shoot the scene then. Miss Piggy and the other Bogen county girls are all ready behind the stage. Let’s finish this before it gets too hot outside.” said Jim.

“Sure thing Jim” said Kermit, getting anxious since now there was no way to stop Piggy from doing whatever she was planning to do. Oh Brother he thought. I just hope she doesn’t mess up the scene so that we have to re-shoot again, we’re already over-budget! He went to go pull Fozzie away from Edgar Bergen, for Charlie McCarthy was obviously getting flustered by the bear’s comedy, and get into position to start shooting the scene.

After consoling a very-upset Fozzie after his failed comedy attempt in front of Edgar and Charlie, they were finally ready to begin filming. Jim came up to Kermit to give a few pointers.

“Now remember Kermit, you need to look like you’re seeing Miss Piggy for the very first time. The surprised look has to be there so people can pull your face from the crowd. Good Luck, I know you’ll do great!” said Jim. With what Miss Piggy was planning, he was sure it wouldn’t be a problem

Jim took his place from atop of a crane to oversee the whole stage area. “Everybody ready?” he asked. Everyone around him gave nods of approval, and they were ready to go. “Okay, Action”.

Part 2 of last chapter!

Okay Everyone,
Here is the final part of the last chapter of "The Moon Doesn't Look Like You". I can't believe I finally finished my first fan-fiction, and I have so many people to thank. I would like to thank all other ushy-gushy Kermit-Piggy fanfic writers, especially Ruahnna and TogetherAgain, for you guys are the ones who inspired me to write my own. I want to thank The Count for pointing out to my some of my favorite stories that I have read here on the forum and for all of his technical help. I hope eveyone has enjoyed this story as much as I have enjoyed writing. Let me know what you think.

Enjoy!

Jim started with a great overhead shot of the fairgrounds, then focused in on the man playing the announcer at the BogenCounty beauty pageant. The man playing the announcer was carelessly flirting with a girl at the fair, so much that he didn’t even hear Jim yell action. He briefly looked at his watch and noticed it was time to start the scene. He handed the woman the balloon they were flirtatiously playing with and went to the stage to announce the winners of the pageant.

The announcer reached the stage and started testing out the microphone to see if it worked properly. “Testing, 123, can you hear me?” he said out to the audience, causing the polka musicians placed in front of the stage playing background music to stop playing, placing all attention on the announcer.

“Well it’s time to announce the winner of this year’s Bogen County Beauty Pageant!”

A little “Ta-Da” fanfare was played, followed by applause from the audience.

Fozzie, Kermit, Gonzo, and Camilla are walking through the fairgrounds when Fozzie notices the commotion at the stage and asks, “What”s that?”

Meanwhile the announcer is heard saying, “We sure grow them purty around here, don’t we?"

Kermit keeps walking through the fairgrounds, not seeing the stage, and Fozzie asks again, “What’s over there, Kermit?"

A bigger crowd starts forming around the stage, making it more difficult for Fozzie, Kermit, Gonzo, and Camilla to move around the fairgrounds. Kermit looks around and Fozzie indicates what he’s talking about. “Over there” says Fozzie. Kermit finally sees what Fozzie is talking about and stops to watch the pageant. “See” says Fozzie, glad that Kermit saw what he was talking about.

Simultaneously while this is going on, the announcer is saying, “All right, here they are. The first-runner up is Debbie-Sue Anderson”

A mini fanfare is played while a girl is seen running out behind the back curtain of the stage and hugging another girl that is standing on the steps on one side of the stage.

Wait a second, thought Kermit, noticing that all the girls on the stage and the girl that just ran out were in swimsuits of various different colors. Aren’t they supposed to be in evening gowns? And then it hit him. Ah-ha! he thought. I know what Piggy’s trying to do. She’s going to come out wearing some very fancy gown in order to look better and stand herself out from all the other girls. Very clever, Piggy, but you’re not going to surprise me! he thought as he breathed a sigh of relief after figuring out Piggy’s little script change wasn’t so drastic after all.

"Nice looking girls huh?” said Fozzie

“Wow, nice looking chickens!” said Gonzo as he saw farmers walk by carrying chickens under their arms.

“BAWK?” cried Camilla

“Oh, no hard feelings honey” Gonzo said as he petted his girlfriend. Everyone turned their attention back to the pageant

“Now before announcer the winner” said the host, “I think we should thank the judges of today’s contest, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy” said the announcer as he pointed and applauded the two gentlemen, one rather woody-looking, in the front row.

The crowd began to applaud the judges as Edgar and Charlie nodded in appreciation. Then Charlie looked right into the camera and said, “You’re not going to believe who the winner is folks!"

“Oh come now, Charlie!” said Edgar Bergen. “It’s their movie!” he said pointing to the camera.

“Oh so t so” mumbled Charlie, as the audience laughed, followed by Charlie and Edgar looking at each other and laughing themselves.

“And here she is folks” said the announcer as he was looking at a piece of paper. “This year’s MissBogenCounty!” he said. “Miss Piggy” he said as he pointed toward the back of the stage.

Miss Piggy comes out from behind the curtain, acting completely surprised, “Oh, Oh me? Oh Oh Thank you! Thank you!” she cried as she bowed to the audience.

Gonzo gasp right on cue while Fozzie immediately looked away. “Wow! It’s a pig! You see that?” Gonzo said to Camilla, who was flapping her arms to applaud Piggy’s move.

Kermit just stood there with his eyes wide open and his mouth open, almost looking like his jaw was going to reach the floor. Piggy was wearing a very figure-revealing, gleaming- white swimsuit with nothing else but pearls, very high heels, and her smooth satiny purple gloves. He was completely flabbergasted. Wow! He thought to himself, trying to take in how incredibly sexy she looked.

“Thank you everyone” Piggy said as she ascended the throne on the stage. Two runners up came and tied a royal cape around her. “Oh Betty Sue, Oh Ama Jane!” she said sweetly to her fellow contestants. “Thank you, thank you! OOOHHH” she said as they crowned a gorgeous tiara on her head.

All the girls on stage majestically pointed to the pageant winner, who saucily crossed her legs on the throne. The applause erupted from the fairgrounds. “Oh, Thank You,Oh Kissy Kissy! Kissy Kissy! Oh Thank you all!” She said, relishing in all the attention.

“Kermit, Kermit” said Fozzie trying to continue on with the script and nudging his friend, trying to get him to do the same.

“Not right now Fozzie” said Kermit without ever taking his eyes off her and not even contemplating that he had lines to say.

“I just want to say that this is the happiest moment, of my..” said Piggy as she looked in Kermit’s direction and saw the way he hungrily stared at her, and looked at him in the way she was supposed to; like she was seeing him for the first time.

Jim indicated one of the crew to cue the music for the beginning of “Never Before” as he closed in on Kermit’s face, looking at Piggy with utter amazement and attraction, then back to Piggy, perfectly catching the twinkle in her eye that seeing Kermit gave her everytime. Jim then focused back on Kermit, realizing he only had a few seconds to capture one last shot of Kermit’s amazingly dazed look. He then focused back to Piggy, who sang the first few bars of “Never Before” before he yelled “Cut!”

After Jim yelled cut, it was pandemonium at the fairgrounds. The few press people who were on set getting pictures to create buzz for the film were crowding in front of the stage snapping their cameras wildly at Piggy in her attire, or lack thereof.

The camera flashes caused Kermit to snap out of his daze and he ignored the fact that Jim was coming up to talk to him and headed straight for the stage.

Jim saw Kermit bolting for the stage and just laughed. Well played Piggy, he thought as he went to get the crew ready to shoot the next part of the scene.

Kermit weaved through all the photographers, pageant contestants, and fair-goers to reach the very front of the stage. “Piggy, what do you think you’re doing?” asked Kermit.

“Posing for pictures” she said as she spread out her cape to show more of her swimsuit.

“Well stop it and come down here!” shouted Kermit.

Piggy let out a little giggle. “Of course Kermie” she said as she gracefully stood up from the throne and headed toward the front of the stage. “Help me down?” she asked.

Making sure she didn’t have to move any more than absolutely necessary, Kermit grabbed her by the waist and quickly hoisted her down off of the stage, having surprisingly little trouble due to the adrenaline and how angry he was at the moment. He took the two ends of her royal cape, pulled them towards each other to cover Piggy up and pulled her behind the stage to talk to her.

Once they were fairly alone, he let go of her and said, “Why are you not wearing clothes?” said Kermit.

“I am! I decided that moi and all of the girls should wear swimsuits for the pageant scene! Don’t moi look great?” said Piggy as she opened up her cape and was getting ready to take the cape off.

Kermit hastily grabbed the cape to keep it on her. “That’s besides the point! This is a family movie and uh, you can’t just go around wearing hardly anything at all! Why did you do this?” he asked while trying to catch his breath.

“Well, since you made cuts because the movie needed to be shorter, I figured that other aspects of the movie could be shorter as well!” said Piggy slyly as she flounced the cape completely behind her shoulders.

“Well, you’re going to put clothes on and we’re shooting the scene over again!” said Kermit as he went to go find Jim, but who was already coming their direction.

“I’m so glad I found you guys” said Jim “I just finished reviewing what we shot and it’s absolutely fabulous! Kermit, the look on your face was absolutely perfect and Piggy, you look wonderful. We got a lot of great publicity from today! Great Job you two!” said Jim enthusiastically. “Will you guys be ready in about ten minutes to resume shooting?” he asked Kermit with a grin on his face.

“Uh yeah, sure Jim, 10 minutes” said Kermit, letting out a big breath and admitting defeat.

“Great” said Jim as he winked at Piggy and left.

Kermit just stood there and looked at Piggy, who had her hands on her hips and a huge smile on her face.

“I guess I’m better at script changes than you are, Kermie dear” said Piggy.

“Well, you certainly know how to grab attention” admitted Kermit, still a little peeved.

“Admit it, vous liked what vous saw. Moi saw the look on your face, vous couldn’t take your eyes off me!” said Piggy coyly as she moved in closer to him.

Kermit tilted his head slightly and nodded in agreeance. “You do look incredible” he said as he grabbed the two ends of her cape and pulled her in close. “You know, looking back on everything from when we first met up until now, I realized something.”

“And what is that?” whispered Piggy as her face was drawing incredibly close to his.

“It’s a good thing the moon doesn’t look like you, because if it did, everyone would want to be astronauts!” said Kermit, moving dangerously close to her face.

“Wha..” whispered Piggy before Kermit pulled her in for a smoldering kiss, what he wanted to do ever since he saw her appear in the scene. With the way he was holding her inside her cape, she couldn’t move, which was good because she wasn’t planning on going anywhere, anytime soon.
