Nora: They're already talking over at the RHLC.
Storyteller: Well, the walls have ears...that reminds me, I was going to make them some earmuffs for the winter. (sits down in chair) AH! What's this I'm sitting on?
Nora: It's obviously a spool of orange thread. Probably fell out of your sewing basket.
Storyteller: No, I don't use thread like this...but neither of you two really sew...
MN: I'll take that. It's for the (ahem, cough, cough) in the (points to closet)
Nora: Ah.
Storyteller: If you need help, let me know.
MN: I might need your help, since of the three of us, you're the best at sewing and knitting.
Storyteller: Of course! After all, I am an able spinner of yarns.*

(very loud chorus of groans)

*yarns = stories, fables, etc.

Big Bird: So I hear that Erin is hiding something in her closet. It's supposed to be a secret.
Bry: Oh? How do you know that, a little bird told you? (tongue in cheek)
Big Bird: No, a little worm!
Bry: Slimey?
Big Bird: Uh huh.
Bry: So, what's the secret?
Big Bird: He wouldn't say.

Nyz: I'm spacey...

Mokey: How so?

Nyz: I forgot about Jabber's Birthday...

Mokey: I guess that explains the presents I found outside the door...

Nyz: <blink> Ya think...Hmm...I think I'll give him a gift card to Wonderland Wonders and hide it under his pillow...

Mokey: <nods> That'll work, I'll give him this portrait I painted of him...

Nyz: <nods> Very nice...

<an hour later>

Nyz: Sorry about the late gifts...I've just been stressed lately...

Jabber: It's OK...I love the gifts. Thanks.

Mokey: No problem.

 

[The Count]

Yes... Of course there's a game! The pep rally was held at the town square, we're facing the Wizards from Hogwarts. They've learned a bit about our game of football, and we've learned a bit about their game of quittage. It's going to be a bit of a mix of both... The golden snitch won't be released, and there'll be an able-bodied flyer up on the broomstick guarding the goals on both sides, we managed to get Uncle Deadly as a guest referree. It'll be a bit of spooky fun, perfect training for next week's shindig.

Boober: I'm worried. Its not like Kim to be this late coming home from work, especially when she has a cold.
Gillis: And who are you, her personal physician?
Tosh: Don't worry, Boober. Remember, she said she had some errands to run after work today?
Boober: Huh? Oh! Right, her errands. I forgot. Still, I hope she remembered to take her cough medicine before she left.
Betty Lou: Boober, Kim's a grown adult with a mind of hero wn. She can take care of herself.
Kim: *coming in the door* Gee, nice to hear you all have such faith in me, guys. *coughs*
Boober: I knew it; you didn't remember your cough medicine!
Kim: *sighs* Boober...chill. How was your day, guys?
Boober: Nice and quiet.
Tosh: Good.
Gillis: Great.
Betty Lou: Eh, it was okay.
Kim: What's the problem, Betty Lou?
Betty Lou: Well, you know my penpal Tuktuki, from Bangladesh? She said she was sending me one of her homemade dolls as a birthday present since my birthday is on Tuesday, and it'd be here this weekend. But I checked the mail today and it hadn't come.
Kim: Aw, that's too bad. I picked you up something today while I was running errands, though. *opens the door further*
*A purple Anything Muppet with black pigtails in a green dress bounces in*
Tuktuki: Hey, penpal, why so glum?
Betty Lou: Tuktuki! *hugs her* I don't believe it; this is so cool! How did you get here?
Tuktuki: I flew in a plane, silly!
Boober: Badum-ching.
Kim: I set this up weeks ago. And its all clear with Ed, too. She'll be here for your birthday on Tuesday before she has to fly back home.
All: Happy birthday, Betty Lou!
Betty Lou: Aw, thanks guys!

Yep... There'll be a party on next Friday evening for Ryan, Betty Lou, and Robin the Frog... Which'll kick off our Halloween festivities, more on that later.
There's a football/quittage game between our Frogs and the Wizards. Hope Piggy doesn't get the idea to try and kiss one of those Frogs and hope that with so magic he'll turn into a prince... Though he probably already is one to her. Oh, I should stop hanging around Cath's stories, but they're just sooooo good.
And remember there'll also be the Homecoming dance after the game, so I hexpect to see some of our dorm friends there.

Lisa: <stumbles into room 24> Ugh! So much for the program ending at 9:45...
Rowlf: I was about to call and see if you were okay.
Lisa: I'm fine... the line was an hour long...
Rowlf: So how was the haunted house?
Lisa: ...Um... I don't know.
Rowlf: Pardon?
Lisa: I had my eyes closed for most of it.
Rowlf: Oh. I see.
Lisa: I didn't.

Grover: What is a jabber?

It's something to do with mixing up words (i guess). I haven't meet Jabber but what Nyssa has said about him he's a pretty cool creature.

Herry: I'm ready.

Cookie M: Me too. Oooo Kyle?

Yes Cookie Monster.

Cookie M: Any cake going to be there?

Not that I know of. She might have got a cake but I really don't know.

Heads out to Nyssa's room

(whispers) Ok. Let's say happy brithday. On three.

Me and the Monsters: One, two, three! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

But no one comes out

Maurice: Are you sure there here?

I don't know. I thougth they would be. *knocks on door*

Herry: *sees a sign on doornob* Uh Kyle?

Yes?

Herry: This might the be reason why there's no one answering the door.

Sign says: o Not Disturb

Whoops. Guess there all asleep. Well just leave the present here. *leaves persent on floor*

We walk back to our room very quietly

*Whipping up some eggs for breakfast, with toast and juice.
Oh hey... Good morning Wanda.
Wanda: Good morning... Sure was a crazy and beautiful night... That game was funny and just what you'd expect from the Muppets. And everybody was just so nice at the dance afterwards.
*Wanda stares off dreamily, thinking of a well-groomed Rowlf from the night before.

Yeah... The homecoming isn't over though.
Wanda: It isn't?
Nope. There'll be a big alumnai luncheon a bit later around 2 PM, and then there's the farewell parade before everybody goes back to their respective homes and the such.
Wanda: Oh, that'll be nice to see. Hopefully Beth'll be back by then.
One can hope.
*Sets breakfast down for roomies and guests.
