(Piggy and Kermit are sitting beside each other on one of the lime tweed recliners. They are not looking at each other. Piggy looks flustered and upset. Kermit looks dignified and wounded. He lets Piggy hold his hand for a moment, then withdraws from her again.)
Piggy: Kermie, I...Kermie, are vous still mad at moi?
Kermit: Um, I don't..maybe. (He looks away, and Piggy looks ashamed.)
Piggy: I'm...I'm really sorry, Kermie. I didn't mean to... He was just...it was just one of those little infatuations.
Kermit: (very snarky) Yeah? Well, your little infatuation had ham for breakfast, how do you like that?
(Piggy doesn't say anything, but there is a dainty little sniff after a moment. Kermit tries to ignore it, and it is not repeated, but when he looks around to catch her eye, she looks hastily away and dabs at her eyes. Kermit sighs, and scoots back into the chair. His arms slips across the back of the chair--as subtle as a teenager at a movie--and settles around Piggy's shoulders. She looks up in surprise.)
Kermit: Oh, what the hey. C'mere.
(Piggy scooches back until she is sitting beside him with his head on her shoulder and her head leaning on his. Her arm slips around his waist.)
Piggy: Vous are very sweet to be so understanding, Mon Capitan.
Kermit: Just tell me it wasn't the hair.
(There is no sound from Piggy.)
