Um... Is there more of this story to tell? If so, please do post. Thanks.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm at a block in this particular story; plus I have play rehearsals, term papers to write, exams, etc. So I've been very busy, but I'll try to have updates as soon as I get the storyline moving again. :zany: :embarrassed:

Thank you, everyone, for being understanding! Also, to put my mind at ease, I have a question for my faithful readers: How are you liking the character of Lightning (the calf)? The reason I ask is because he's been a major character in both stories so far, yet I haven't gotten a lot of feedback on him as a character.

Well... Lightning works well, especially here when paired with Fozzie and I'm waiting to se what happens as they're under Aurora's "care". Guess being the Muppet lister/researcher/knowledgeable person I've become since joining MC and rediscovering my Muppet spark I happen to associate Lightning as a character with the young reindeer from Elmo Saves Christmas. But that's just my mind playing tricks on me, it has no bearing on your well-written fic which I hope to see continue until reaching its finale.

Part 11

With Fozzie, Lightning, and Jasper in tow, Aurora sprinted through the Hotel Veronique’s lobby to get to the elevator. Lightning was rushing so fast that he tripped and slid into Fozzie, then Aurora and Jasper, creating a domino effect. They all landed in a heap right by the café area, where Mr. Doyle happened to be sitting. He jumped from his seat to assist Aurora.

"Oh my, ma’am, are you all right?" asked Doyle, helping her up.

"Jim-freakin’-dandy! Now go away!" exploded Aurora.

"Oh, well, I’m sorry, ma’am... it’s just that judging by where you fell, I thought you needed to get to the elevator. I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone, as it were, because I was about to get on the elevator as well" explained Doyle as he pushed the ‘up’ button on the elevator’s directional panel.

"Small world, isn’t it?" replied Aurora, sarcastically as the elevator doors opened. "Why don’t we cut the mutual prot and just go our separate ways?"

As Aurora, Doyle, Jasper, Lightning, and Fozzie entered the elevator, Aurora pushed the ‘38' button, which led Doyle to exclaim "Oh, so I take it you all are friends of Lindy’s?"

"Oh, yes, you’d be surprised how far we go back" replied Aurora, sinisterly.

"How do you know Lindy, sir?" asked Lightning, to Doyle.

"I’m his agent. T.W. Doyle, pleasure to meet you all" replied Doyle as he tipped his hat. "Yes, I’m quite excited to tell him the great arrangement I’ve made: he’s going to be a guest star on the prestigious local morning show, "Hello L.A.!". Just then, the doors opened and the group was in the Barrymore Suite.

"Lindy, everybody, come out; I’ve got great news!" shouted Doyle. As Chamberlain, Lindy, Kirk, and Amber appeared from their respective rooms, Kirk exclaimed "Dad, it’s Aurora!"

"Good God Almighty!" shouted Chamberlain as he ran to embrace Fozzie and Lightning. "Oh boys, I’m so glad you haven’t been harmed. But who’s the funny looking dog?"

"It’s Jasper. But don’t worry; he’s changed his ways" explained Lightning.

"See, Harrison? I told you I’d catch up with you. But you already knew that, didn’t you?" cackled Aurora.

"Chamberlain, what is she talking about?" asked Doyle.

"Tell the tale I shall, Doyle!" began Aurora. "My father was Shuckner Lords, anthropologist and leading expert on a rare breed of creatures known as Fraggles. Mr. Harrison led my father to his imminent demise, and had the audacity to take all of Daddy’s research to form the Newport Fraggle Fund. Well, since I’m the primary shareholder of Lords Industries, I should be head of the Fund! Now, I asked him nicely to turn over the necessary forms to me, but he refused, so here I am."

"I didn’t steal Shuckner’s research, Aurora; I did it all myself." defended Chamberlain. "In fact, would it surprise you at all to know that the majority of his research was wholly inaccurate?"

"That’s a lie!" shrieked Aurora.

"Hey, where’s Mr. Doyle go?" asked Lindy.

"I’m in here, Lindy" called Doyle from Amber’s room.

"What are you doing?" asked Chamberlain.

"Calling security to remove Aurora from the hotel premises" replied Doyle.

"No need; I’m quite finished" said Aurora as she walked back to the elevator. "But this has only just begun, Harrison. I WILL be back; there’s no doubting that!"

Ooh... The plot thickens. But why would she just leave like that? Maybe there was a bit of muddling towards the end with who was where calling for hotel security... But that's okay, the rest of the story is hitting a highnote and I eagerly await to find out what's next.

Can you please explain your concern a little more, Ed?

Part 12

***Three Months Later***

Shooting had just wrapped up for "Hey, That's My Penguin!", which only meant one thing: promoting the movie! As promised, Lindy was to appear on "Hello, L.A.!", the most popular morning show in the Hollywood area. Lindy was in his dressing room getting ready, assisted by Mr. Doyle and Jasper. Jasper had been looking a bit sicklier of late and had developed small blue spots all over his body and face, not to mention emitting ghastly bark-like coughs. He had also started writing in a journal, which he was very secretive about.

"Just think, Lindy: your first TV interview! Oh, this'll be so good for your career; it's really very exciting." exclaimed Doyle.

"Well, that's all well and good, Mr. D., but I'm worrying about Jasper. Chamberlain thinks he's got something called the Pebble Pox." explained Lindy.

"Heavens, it's not contagious, is it?" asked Doyle, shielding his face with his briefcase.

"No, Mr. Doyle, only Fraggles can get it." replied Lindy, perturbed.

"Oh,... well, that's a relief." sighed Doyle.

"Don't forget to put your dog suit on, Jasper." said Lindy.

"I'm not wearing that anymore; it's probably what's making me break out." wheezed Jasper.

"But then you're gonna get seen and taken away!" exclaimed Lindy.

"Well, I certainly don't have to worry about that; I'll probably be dead in a few days." mumbled Jasper.

"Don't say that!" yelled Lindy, getting upset.

"Lindy, I don't understand; I thought you hated me." said Jasper.

"I did, but now we have to take of you. Chamberlain thinks of our group as a big family; you're in our group, aren't ya?" asked Lindy.

"Oh, for God's sake, Lindy, calm down! Jeez, you'll be on in a few minutes." snapped Doyle, irritated, as he looked at his watch. "Darn it, you're on right now. Move it!"

Part 13

As his name was called, Lindy was escorted on stage, which looked like an "MTV Spring Break"-type set. In fact, the host, Tiffany Finch, was wearing a salmon-colored bikini and sunglasses. Tiffany picked Lindy up, gave him a little hug, and placed him in his chair.

"Oh, Lindy, we’re so happy to have you on our show!" giggled Tiffany.

"Uh... er... I think there’s been a mistake. I’m supposed to be on ‘Hello, L.A.!’" said Lindy, uneasily. This comment was met with raucous laughter from the audience.

"Aw, you’re so cute. Sweetie, this *is* ‘Hello, L.A.!’" explained Tiffany.

"Oh, okay. It’s just that my agent led me to believe that this show was like ‘Good Morning, America’." said Lindy. Again, laughter from the audience.

"Oh, well, it is, except we’re a lot more casual here." giggled Tiffany.

"Obviously." tittered Lindy, uncomfortably. Just then, one of Jasper’s hacking coughs was heard, followed by Chamberlain shouting "Lindy, it’s Jasper; come with me now!"

"Gladly!" replied Lindy, as he hopped down from his stool and off the set.

At a local emergency room, Chamberlain, Lindy, Fozzie, and Lightning were crowded around Jasper, who was laying in a modified hospital bed.

"Well, guys, I’m not doing too well, so why don’t you have a look in my journal?" whispered Jasper, who could barely talk.

"Certainly, Jasper" replied Chamberlain as he opened the journal up. He read the title aloud: ‘Jasper’s Glory Song’... uh, may I continue reading it, Jasper?"

Jasper wearily nodded. Chamberlain read on:

"Years ago I’ve been bad, oh-so-bad
And done things that made many people get mad
I never became the best I could be
But maybe my song can help you to see.

What I did to Mokey was way past poor
I made Mokey cry til her eyes were so sore
Forgiveness from Lindy he’d never allow
But please, Lindy, please, let me ask for it now.

I know what I did never can be undone
I wish that the two of us lived to have fun
Now I’m closing my eyes for what is the last time
And ask that you pardon my terrible crime.

To the bear, calf, and Chamberlain, thank you so much
For protection from Aurora with the murderous touch
And now I am slipping fast from the last rung
But at least my Glory Song has been sung."

Lindy, with a heaving chest and sobbing eyes, climbed on the bed and hugged Jasper as tight as he could, saying "I forgive you, Jasper. Don’t worry, you can let go now." And as Lindy said that last phrase, Jasper disappeared into thin air.

Wow, now I'm really worried that I took a wrong turn in the story. Please give me some feedback, guys; I hope I didn't screw it up too bad!
