yeah it is, but i dont find it to be durable enough, but it is great for moking up some small parts and the using them as models when working in clay and stuff
well another obscure fact, the original Erinie had eyes made from plastic spoons, but then they changed the shape and size of the spoons they were using so the started making them from vacu form plastic.
still a great option for the at home puppet builder who dosent feel the need to go thru...
its another show using a compination of basic muppet style puppeteering, and incorporating BUNRAKU , and blue screen ,sort of like the book of pooh did, i know some people who worked on this over there, from what they told me it was a nightmare to work on, puppets were to heavy, and did not hold...
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT LAZY TOWN SHOW ON NICK MIGHT BE MORE INTERESTINGG IF I WAS A HABITUAL DRUG USER, GOOD LORD THOSE PUPPETS ARE CREEPY, AND THE HUMAN CHARACTERS ARE EVEN WEIRDER, EEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSH
no avenue q is not even remotley related to Sesame Workshop, yes peoepl who wrok on sesame street , or peopl who once did are involved in some of the puppetry aspects , the show is not produced or supported in any way by Sesame Workshop,
and if you read the statement i was replying to it had...
from what i understan a lot of the puppets came from the collections of the puppeteers, (not the main charecters mind you) they were asked to bring puppets in from home for use on the show, and thats what they did , as to the main puppets im not sure, but i believ the original puppest for the...
becaus ethe simple fact is that the general public isnt able to tell the difference between a muppet and any other hand mouth puppest, i cant tell u how many times i would tour people thru the workshop, and they would spie a generic frog puppet on a rack and go "ooooo look its kermit!!!!!", and...
i dont believe this post hasnt died yet , lol, dude you made a very nice puppet and got some constuctive critisim from some very talented people,
the other stuff was for your on edification, take it for waht it was, good intentions only,
i my self have built some replicas for my own...
they dont look like muppets at all, they are very styelized, and grotesque, not as well built as muppets, they are fun puppets though, but not near the quality of the muppets at all
hi, i sent you a link to the internatinal site, the other day, i guess it wasnt to help full, try writing the henson company or sesame workshop directly, put it to the attentin of the puppeteer coordinator, that might get u some results.
james
i doubt you will ever see it, the henson company isnt to thrilled about avenue q, nor are the sesame workshop people, i here it was pretty funny though.
well if you can find a copy of "down at fraggle rock", there is a whole scene were Michael frith, who designed the show, is working on sketches of the original fraggle five, and the gorgs and doozers as well,(personally i wish they had used the original drawings they were more wimsical in my...
i agree with buck, start small, so that you dont get to discouraged when the first few pulls you make dont come out that great, it will help you learn were to avoid undercuts, and limit air bubbles as well.
actually , they wouldnt have bothered opening the fakada LA office, the muppets have always had a more NEW YORK style,Jim new it, and thats were they Belong, not in La, or Hollywood, the land of no imagination :attitude:
