WORST POSTING EVER!:attitude:
THE MUPPETS ARE NOW AND FOR EVER WILL BE JIM HENSONS, DISNEY ONLY WISHES THAT THEY COULD BE HALF AS BRILLIANT AS JIM WAS.
who cares they get paid a ridiculous amount of money while the crafts people behind the scenes get next to nothing, im sure they will hire as many of them as are willing to work for them, and still shaft the workshop as always :attitude:
conyo!!!since when is that word a swear ?i have heard it on numerous cartoons(in several warner bros. and even in the insedious disney companys one decent television effort "GARGOYLES",
its in the bible , they say it at church, i mean it isnt like she dropped a F-bomb, although i could see...
RATS, was a film that the company did a few years ago, it wasnt all the goo (pretty horrible as I remmeber from the company copy i saw back then).
It was about a man who gets turned into a rat, it was based on a irish story or something, as i recall it opened in belfast or something like that...
the ply wood you want to use is called"aircraft ply"
it can be found in art supply store s and hoppy shops , it is used to make wings and stuff for radio controlled airplanes. it is light wieght and easy to cut with a copping saw or a table top jig saw.
use 1/8 inch or 1/16 inch, depends...
the CRS crafts place is great, i have found some wonderfull stuff there, eyes and furs two, the animal furs are quite nice , however the bright colored craft fur is a little thin as far as the pile goes, but you can still get some great results with it, good luck,
DOG CITY is still owned by henson, as is the TV series of Dog City,
disney only wanted the rights to certain muppet things, (IE. muppet show, muppet movies, bear in the big blue house(since they coproduced it nad henson got half the royalties to from merchidise)
well it is a simalar concept to TINY TOONS, as i recall reading the idea behind that show was to avoid creating another "muppet babies" like show hence the reason new charecter with simalar personalities were created (quite well done as well , was one of my guilty pleasures back in high school...
Cliffords firts appearence was on "the jim henson hour", he was a band member in solid foam, along with digit, beard, flash, and the drummer chick(cant remember her name, although she shared a design resemblance to Zandra one of the "puppet non comformist who ocasionally intercepted the muppet...
one of my fondest memeorys of the workshop was the stories they told, like how when the first deal fell through the workshop staff went to the roof and cerimoniously burned there mouse ears , and when christmas came that year they decorated the tree with a rat (dressed like mickey) holding a...
They are called feather boas, ostrich is the best, its long and moves great, maribou is the stuff you see most aoften in craft stores, you can dye it, but its difficult nd messy , but you can also order them in pre dyed colors, you can stich them down on the head or you can pluck inividual ones...
well you might want to check out "van dykes taxedermy supply", they have a web site and sell lion forms (they are pricey), but they also sell glass eyes and stuff, there are also some great teddy bear supply companies that sell bulk fur,
good luck
WELL THEN AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF YOUR S I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO TELL YOU THIS, :zany:
YOU ARE A INCOMPETENT BOOB WITH ALL THE TALENT OF A ROAD KILLED PIGEON ON THE STREETS OF NEW YORK.
AND BY THE WAY I HAVE SEEN THE PENGUIN YOU BUILT , AND THEIR ARE BETTER PUPPETS ON PUBLIC ACCESS TV
yeah , thats a common misconception, it had its ups, but more than its fair share of downs, .doesnt matter any way , i dont work there any more.
and know that disney is involved im not sure i would want to work there again, one group of corporate morons was enough, i dont think i could...
well since i rebuilt camilla for the christmas movie , i know they used her,(all though the on scene she shared with gonzo she was replaced by yet another generic chicken, somthing that was sort of and inside muppet joke since the muppet show days, lol, since all the chickens pretty much look...
