    The Josh & Tamra Show

Our theater hosted The Josh and Tamra Show last night. If you're unfamiliar with the show, they're an improv duo from New York that uses puppets. Josh worked with the muppets for about 10 years. Someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong...unless I'm wrong, then no one is allowed to correct me...

Take A Peek Inside My Workshop

Yes the clean comments are only said out of jealousy. I dig the cabinets pretty hard.

    Whoospiedoodles

I haven't recorded myself doing that particular show yet. I'm sure I'll improve vastly once I do that. Thankfully I have a wonderful lead puppeteer & director.

    Whoospiedoodles

HAH! My first show my mic went out & it threw me off so badly I had to improvise the song. Thankfully I consider myself a half-decent musical improviser... Hey at least I knew the tune! And I was in a mask, so nobody could see my beet-red face...

    Whoospiedoodles

At this point it's not even the rap that I'm struggling with (Or maybe it is and I have not enough rhythm to notice), but more the transition from informal performances for drunkards to needing a polished show. Thankfully I'm a confident improviser that has been able to recover from missed...

    Whoospiedoodles

So I've just finished my first week of schlepping a show to schools. I had 2 weeks to learn it. Other performers have done it with more time, others with less (hi Jeremy).... Out of curiosity, has anyone else made a complete idiot out of themselves in front of a group of kinder-2nd graders? I...

    Good Times With Weapons

I'll indulge you! Wow. The question is: was there really alcohol involved, or is that just an excuse to act like a goofball?

    Rant in E Minor.

I think this is a complaint of every artform. I think the lesson to be learned here is that if you want to earn a cushy-living & sit in the lap of luxury, become an elementary school teacher. Dude, they have it MADE.

Grover Puppet on ebay NOT puppet vaults

This is highly confusing. Vault of puppets has a etsy shop. Isn't that sweet? Eh..I suppose its not my battle to fight. (ohhh but I wants to) Also...I would assume Grover to have toes...

Performing with a character in front of the puppeter

Black like ninja is traditionally what puppeteers wear and I'm all for keeping up tradition (especially when tradition makes you look thinner). Its less distracting & allows you to see the puppet more. Granted, if the puppeteer is going to talk that's something else entirely. When we do...
