I had SUCH a good time watching this. I've been really run-down, overworked, exhausted, etc. with teaching, and this was just what I needed. All my friends were there, they all felt true to their personalities, there were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, a good dose of heart, a little bit of...
Wow! That NBC preview is terrific! The music is great, the Muppets feel true to their characters (loved Gonzo: "I gotta try this"), and the whole thing just feels right.
Bring it on!
:)
I liked David Rudman's Scooter on the Disney Channel special, but there wasn't a lot of him to see. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with the character with a little more material.
;);)
Okay, not technically the Muppets. Just me at "Faculty Follies," our school fundraiser. But I think some of you will like this one:

Last couple of pictures in the album. The whatnots don't have names yet, but they probably will someday. I'm considering "Jasper," but I don't know why.
We got our Muppet What-Nots yesterday, and they're great! We were very pleasantly surprised to find that the "red curly" wig option is actually much more brown than red, which makes it match my wife's hair almost perfectly (which was what we were going for--little muppet doppelgangers of...
Just ordered ours today, now that all of the hairstyles are back online. One for me (that kinda looks like me) and one for my wife (that kinda looks like her). So looking forward to getting them!
:insatiable:
So neat! I could just sit here and play with the different Whatnot formations all day. I think I may be able to convince someone to get me one as an early Christmas present, so we'll see!
Just got to see this--I thought it was MUCH better than the first one. Much more Muppety in general. They should keep this up--make each special more Muppety than the last one. By special 5 or 6, it should basically end up just being an episode of The Muppet Show.
This morning's New York Times has an op-ed on the presidential debates featuring Statler and Waldorf. Enjoy!

:sleep::boo:
I saw this article last night, and I thought it showed a lot of promise! Now, that's not to say that all of that promise will be fulfilled, but it's clear that Disney really wants to do big things with the Muppets. I hope it has the follow-through to get there.
On a side-note, I've been...
Christopher Lambert was in Highlander with Sean Connery
Sean Connery was in The Russia House with Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle Pfeiffer hosted the very first episode of Muppets Tonight with Kermit the Frog :)
