Hi:
Did anyone catch this special "THE ELECTRIC COMPANY GREATEST HITS AND BITS"
on PBS this past weekend? It was on at 5:00 on the local San Francisco PBS station (GROVER was on it, that's how this qualifies for this forum section), but:
They had interviews from all the actors from...
Does anyone know what the name of the musical group was who performed the "COUNTING TO 20: LISTEN, MY BROTHER" segment from the 1970 classic cuts section?
Well, it's a barrel that supports Oscar's trash can in the later SESAME episodes (1974 - present day), but yes, you could use a bunch of old crates, since that's what was the case for the early seasons.
I forgot that you might need some cement to create a faux sidewalk.
And a trip to the auto...
You just need a drill that cuts through metal to screw in the screws for the hinge. You should also expect the lid to not close perfectly once the hinge is on (just like on the show) because the hinge will cause the lid to be skewed and not square with the opening of the trash can.
Also...
No, Minor Muppetz hit it right on the head:
The MUSIC RIGHTS is why they had to edit out those clips.
Instead of having to pay millions of dollars again to Stevie Wonder, the musical film "Olver" (which is what the Anything Muppets sang in the premiere song), and the instrumental Bach piece...
There are two instances that I can think of where they transformed the Sesame Street characters into animated versions:
ELMO'S WORLD: THE STREET WE LIVE ON
and
SESAME STREET PRESENTS: FOLLOW THAT BIRD
Question:
Are there any other fans like me who wished they had chosen episodes OTHER than the ones shown on Noggin?
I mean, the first episode is fine, but all the other ones after that....
I just got mine and it is EXCELLENT.
I'm not through all the discs yet, but it's as if SESAME WORKSHOP finally delivered what we fans have been looking for.
One thing:
The credit crawl for 1971-1972 (on disc 2) is different from the one on Noggin. There isn't any drawing of Grover...
Hey Boober Gorg:
Can you quickly sum up what happens in each of the first five years credit crawl? And thanks for your previous replies, btw....Very helpful.
Because there were TWO Ernies in Season 1.
The earliest Ernie from season 1 had a purple nose
The second Ernie from season 1 had the red nose
Check out the two Ernie's:

ERNIE SEASON 1, VERSION 2...
OK, OK, one question has been on my mind, since my DVD hasn't arrived yet:
On the FIRST episode, do they still have the old: "Broadcast in living color" tag at the beginning?
Just for kicks, I've been imagining what would it take to construct your very own life-like SESAME STREET SET in your backyard?
If money were no object, then here are the elments to bring the show into your reality:
1) Your own SESAME STREET LAMPPOST, in the same style as it is on the show...
