Little Shop of Horrors Broadway Review

Entertainment Weekly has a review of the show posted in this week's issue (George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones on the cover). It also has a nice photo of Seymour and Twooey, actually the nicest shot of one of the plants I have seen so far....

    Going Insane Over Eyes

I've often thought that it would be great for someone to open a store that specialized in puppetry and sold puppet building materials - all the hard to get stuff like Scott Foam, Antron, shag fur, dozens of eyes, etc. You'd have to do it in a major centre like NY, LA, Toronto, Seattle or Atlanta...

    Article/Interview with Rick Lyon online

I think this article has been pulled down....anyhow AP seems to have picked it up and the Henderson Gleaner (somewhere in KY?) re-ran it: 'Avenue Q' Puppeteer a hit in new adult-themed Broadway show By SHEILA HOTCHKIN, Associated Press October 9, 2003 EAST ORANGE, N.J. -- Two stars of...

    Looking for instructions and suppliers?

Well the foam book is pretty much the only resource of it's kind, unless you count the puppet building videos by Grey Seal and Arms Length Productions. Puppets For Goodness Sake sells a good starter puppet pattern (you can email them at puppets4gs@aol.com) but if you want to do all of the...

    Going Insane Over Eyes

Speaking of eyes, Michael Brose sells some very nice cast 1 1/2" eyeballs through his website (click here for the page). Also Glastic doll eyes can also be good for eyes. You can find them through almost any doll making supply store on the net or at some joke/novelty shops where they are sold as...

    Oooooh, Canada!

What? Did you like think we were sending you all those comedians just because they couldn't find work here? Who sent Shania to enslave the radio airwaves of the world? Canada. Who produces all of the US Olympic Team's clothing? Canada (well, Roots - but they're obviously just pawns in a larger...

    The BT Puppet Building Contest

Voting closed in the contest last night with Ryan Dillon (RyanD) and his "Unnamed Monster" claiming victory with 33% of the vote. It was a close vote and kind of went back and forth over the last few days. Thanks to everyone from Muppet Central who participated! You can see Ryan's winning...

    Terminator in!

Of course the great thing about California's "so-democratic-it-hurts" approach is that all the Democrats have to do is wait until Arnie screws up, then get a few signatures and recall him!

    Dyeing and drying

Buck don't dye...well Buck does, but not very well. Buck tries to get someone else to do it for him (Buck also talks in the third person, as you may have noticed :p). Seriously though, I think blow drying is OK. Just don't use the dryer. You'll be sorry.
