Bear in the Big Blue House Live!

Yeah, he's a puppeteer. I met him on the set of a TV pilot I worked on about 2 years ago. I actually think I was the one who told him about the VEE auditions when they came to town, but I'm not sure.

    Boglins

The Boglins were great! It's harder and harder to find ones whose foam isn't starting to break down. I still have one of the mini ones, the larger ones were all gutted years ago for their cool moving eyeballs. Also, I believe Boglins were supposed to be their own species, not trolls.

    Hair on her heady-head-head

I have the solution! (I think) There's an old character I use from time to time called "Granny Gumms" I actually just learned the secret of how her hair was made from the woman that built her a few days ago - find long fun fur that is grey/black - that is grey at the top and black near the...

    My new puppet

The URLs don't seem to be working right now. I'll try checking them later.

    Hair on her heady-head-head

That's right! D'oh! I should have mentioned that. Doll wigs are much, much cheaper and usually better looking (and better fitting!).

    Hair on her heady-head-head

I don't know, but I would guess that Piggy's hair probably is a wig (albeit a high quality one). You can hand-punch hair in to foam latex, but that's very labour intensive. In my experience most cheap Halloween-style wigs look exactly like that, cheap. Really nice wigs costs anywhere from $70...

Bear in the Big Blue House Live!

I'm not sure which character he does. We haven't spoken since he left for tour. I know he's not Bear (he's too short!).

    Classic Canadian Sesame Street

Sesame Street is not actually carried on any Canadian stations to the best of my knowledge. Cities close to the US border who get PBS can watch the show though. It's a shame - as a kid it there was two different versions and the show was on four times a day (at least). Now all we get in Toronto...

    Classic Canadian Sesame Street

The original "Canadian Sesame Street" was on CBC and the same as the American show, but with some of the cartoons and live-action segments edited out and replaced with Canadian content. I think all the Muppet and Street segments were left in. Mostly, they replaced Spanish segments with French...

    Classic Canadian Sesame Street

At least until very recently, the show was being occasionally rerun at odd times, on the weekend or very early in the morning. I could swear I saw it on early one morning in the last year. The show definately aired regularly on weekdays at least until 2000 as that was when it stopped production...

    Editorial about TMS on CTS

Thanks for sharing this. I agree, it's great to see that the show is having an impact. It's awful that the show isn't aired in the US currently. One thing I didn't agree with in Dan's editorial was this portion: "but I was dismayed that it was on a network devoted to promoting one specific...

Bear in the Big Blue House Live!

Glad to hear you all had fun. I know someone in this show, but I haven't seen it yet. :( Hopefully it will come my way soon!

Need Info on 'Sesame Street Goes to Prison'

Excuse me - remember I'm Canadian and don't really share the same view of criminal justice that many voters in Texas do - BUT WHAT THE #$@! ARE YOUNG CHILDREN DOING IN A PRISON?!?!   Honestly...children, prisoners and puppets. And the world is worried about Micheal...

    Attention Comics Fans!

Writer, artist and comics theorist Scott McCloud has finally posted the latest installment of his popular ground-breaking "picture in picture" web comic "The Right Number." Check it out at http://www.scottmccloud.com/comics/trn/intro.html I don't think there is any really inappropriate...

    Bruno

Yup, he (and Oscar) were performed by Carroll Spinney. He was devised by Carroll as a way to make Oscar a "mobile" character on Sesame Street.

Mahna-Mahna Fan Art Sculpture for Trade

Cool puppet Foz. You're right not to sell it of course. Just FYI even trading the puppet is technically copyright infringment, but I'd doubt anyone would give you a hard time about it. Nice job!

    JHC in London

They used to be located in a large building in Hampstead. I believe the company has since relocated, but there are pictures of the old building in the book "No Strings Attached." I'm sure some of the locals would be able to help you locate that. Assuming the shop has moved, I wonder what's in...

    Steve Martin Episode

The Vincent Price/Alice Cooper episodes were released commercially on VHS as a special tape at Halloween a few years ago. I'm not sure if they were included in the TimeLife DVD set, but maybe they are holding these for another season release?

Calling all fans! (Jim Henson Legacy Project)

Warrick is right, at last fall's "Unseen Work of Jim Henson" event at the MTR in New York it was surpising to learn that the Legacy finds new material through fans, ebay, that sort of thing. I think if there's any doubt about the legitimacy of this post, Hartattack - who is a new, relatively...
