I haven't seen an episode of Lazytown yet, but it certainly sounds like it has good intentions and is a positive show. I think that there is good and bad kid's TV and you're absolutely right that if kids are going to watch something it's better they see a show that encourages them to be active...
I've always been baffled by TV producers attempting to make kids more active through TV shows. If they really want children to get more exercise and be more active perhaps making a TV show is the wrong approach.
Sorry, but someone had to say it.
I was in New York for some meetings with Nick-affliated people when they were auditioning; I heard about the puppet problems too. I was supposed to audition, but couldn't make it back down to New York because of a scheduling problem. It's too bad because it was a good gig (money-wise) and hey...

The Bear Town Forum is currently down while I'm upgrading the site. It should be back by the end of the week.
Without seeing the wedges you're using it's hard to say but I'd guess that either the shape of the wedge needs to be adjusted or you need to use more wedges. To make a perfect ball the ratio of the wedge's width to it's height should be 1:4 and you must use eight wedges. If you don't want to...
I agree, a draft would be lunacy. For one thing the military couldn't handle the massive influx of conscripts.
Then again, they didn't want to go in to Iraq either.
To be fair to the Democrats, this rumour also started (on "the internets" as Bush would say) because the U.S. military (or...
Interesting thread, some thoughts from a non-American outsider who's watched this race with interest (me):
For all the flack it takes, I think the the Electoral College is not a bad system. During most of America's history the electoral college vote has more or less accurately reflected the...
I have written two articles that might be helpful:

Also, search the forum for threads that contain the phrase "Kermit head pattern". Someone took a kermit...
I think a lot of their celebrity targets are fair game - Streisand, Baldwin, Michael Moore etc. but I always thought the Phil Collins thing was childish ("Blame Canada" was the better song though). Phil is a really good guy and just does his thing and helps a lot of charities. He's not one of...
 Hey guys - we're all friends here right? We can relax right?
...right?
Point of fact - in the United States and Canada you are legally entitled to record public broadcasts, largely because of the idea that the public "owns" the airwaves (subject to heavy government regulation of...
Less than two days left to vote! When last I checked just one vote separated the leading entry (Warrick's "Furbo") from several entries that are tied in second place so anything could happen.
Remember that voting closes Saturday night.
Yeah, what Steve said.

What store in New York? What line of puppets? Why I am always the last to know?!?!
Are you still doing your newsletters Michelle? I haven't gotten any for months.
The foam I used for Tumbles was - I think - stuff intended for upholstry use in cars and comes with this weird fibre backing on one side. I have no idea what it is or why it's there but I don't recommend using that kind of foam if you can help it. For one thing, if it is pulled off or comes off...
Anyone have any idea where I can find one of those latex/plush Jurassic Park hand puppet dinosaurs? I've tried ebay and they have the newer ones, but not the one I am thinking of that Toys R Us carried a few years ago.
Any help would be appreciated.
