That's Lew Zealand.
Anyway, I just thought of something about Skeeter (even though I have read a few pages of the "Family Reunion" comic).
We all know that Scooter (on TMS) always go what he wanted just by saying, "My uncle owns the theatre." Would Skeeter be likely use this excuse to get what...
Widescreen. Definetly widescreen. It's how it was originally made and that's all that matters. Also, if you have a 16-by-9 television, the picture (at least on the Columbia-TriStar version from 2001, I don't know about the Disney reissue from a few years ago) should fill your entire screen (I...
I'm not sure, but I think one way the Mouse House can hype audiences' intrest in a "new" Muppet Show is to re-run the original for a few months (if not a full year) and see how the ratings of the reruns perform.
However, I see one complication: It is a common practice among networks nowadays to...
I don't know where to put this, so I'll put it here (mods--feel free to move it if you see fit)
It has long been debated by Muppet fans what technically counts as a true Muppet. In my opinion, the definition of a true Muppet falls into 3 categories:
Category 1: Only the "central" Muppet...
I see, a stock explosion/smoke effect composited over the "generic" replacement Zoot ending.
Here's an idea for an alternate sign-off: Loretta Lynn: Zoot's sax makes a diesel locomotive horn sound (a little rail buff humor there--Gonzo's trumpet made the sound of a steam locomotive whistle so...
I remember on a segment of the Jim Henson hour, Jim gave Jojo the dog a tour of the New York workshop. They come across a builder sculpting a Gonzo head:
Jojo: Isn't that Gonzo you're making?
Puppet Builder: Yes it is.
Jojo: But he's an old character, he's already made
Puppet Builder: Our...
Those WOULD be nice, but the visuals for the Ben Vereen episode would have been cut due to rebranding in later years (only the audio would remain intact).
There is a screenshot of the Kaye Ballard ending in the episode guide on this site.
Does anyone know the ending for the Spike Milligan episode (the one with the "Small World" ending)?
On YouTube, I saw the original closing credits to the Cleo Laine episode, and the Zoot ending had a logo identical to the one shown on my avatar. Since the credits were left-alligned, I assume this is the UK ending.
I too, would love to see the post- season 2 and episode-specific ATV/ITC...
Here's what should happen IMO:
1. Release TMS season 4
2. Re-issue TMS S1 with the missing bits re-instated
3. Attempt toobtain rghts for the S1 missing bits.
Jim has a cameo in the Muppet Movie as well (but I forget where). Usually, if he is not needed as a Muppet performer he might as well have a cameo in his films.
I hope that they milk the fact that Disney is co-producing the movie and bring in Mickey Moose and Ronald Duck from the Petula Clark episode! All they'd need now is a "Goofy-like" muppet and it'd be perfect!
This thread is here to form a master list of all the pop-culture inspired sketches or characters based on contemporary celebrities in Sesame Street.
To me, SST was (and still is) one of the few examples of topical humor working in a kids' show (even though the topical humor and celebrity...
I have my own theory for the delays:
What I know so far:
1. LucasFilm probably DID grant Buena Vista the rights for the Mark Hamill episode, since they allowed C3PO and R2D2's Sesame appearance to appear on the Sesame Street 40th Anniversary compillation.
2. I cannot recall if there are...
Here's one that I was surprised got past the censors:
In the "At the Dance" spot for the Lena Horne episode:
Miss Piggy: My aunt has a chest that goes back to the 1700's
Piggy's Partner: That must be difficult for your uncle.
(NOTE: Mods, if this topic seems inappropriate, or we already have a thread for this, please feel free to delete it)
For those who don't know, a "Past the Radar" moment is a vulgar, suggestive, politically incorrect or otherwise inappropriate moment that manages to sneak itself past the...
