Here's something I thought of:
Remember the Diner Lady from Season 3 of TMS (what did happen to the theatre's diner after S3?) who often worked with the Swedish Chef? Maybe the Diner Lady and the Chef could work at the commissaries at the studio where ULWMP is filmed.
So THIS is why they're rebranding it--they want the Denise/Kermit/Piggy triangle to make the show part soap opera? Is that it?
Also, I think I've found a way to pronounce Pache/Pizza's name that's a happy medium between its phonetic and actual spellings--I pronounce it "pie-ZHAY." Does that...
This show keeps getting better! Yes, Fozzie--Becky may not want to date you anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't still be good friends (that's the case with me and my ex).
I'm sort of surprised that the end credits were cut short--I was expecting Sam to faint after that kiss!
Here are some of mine:
-Sesame Street's Guy Smiley (you try explaining his enthusiastic tone of voice to a 1-to-2-year-old)
-Any time any Muppet production (or cartoon, for that matter) uses a camera move TVTropes defines as "Eating the Camera"--but only when a character's uvula (the...
Also--when I heard Dr. Teeth mention Tiana, I thought the Muppets were giving their bosses a plug by referencing one of their other properties (or should I say a specific character from said property).
Didn't Jane Gootnick say in The Secrets of the Muppets that the "central family" of characters (aka "The Muppets Proper") have such frequent and extensive use that they need more frequent rebuilding than other families of characters? (Just as she was sculpting the head for a new Gonzo puppet!)
My thoughts:
1. Hey Sweetums, you'd better see a doctor about that cold before you cause another accident backstage--do you really have a cold or just allergies?
2. I think the FDA should outright ban Piggy Water. 30 grams of fat for water? Ridiculous!
3. Don't worry, Animal. So it was a...
Okay. Loved Scooter's reaction at his first date with Chelsea and Kermit's realization that he was a first-class heel in assuming Becky was cheating.
Also, loved Animal's Cookie Monster impression (probably a reference to the fact that they were both originated by Frank Oz). But I...
OK. I generally liked this episode because it shows a side of Piggy that I hadn't expected. When I first heard that Piggy was giving Kermit gift advice for Denise, what I assumed the outcome would be that she'd suggest a gift that would embarrass, offend or hurt Denise (invariably resulting in...
I'm trying to imagine where Link Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork would fit into the show's setting. It would be nice to see them again as they have been recently officially recast.
Hmm...maybe Link can be part of a love triangle with Kermit & Denise?
OK, back on topic. I loved the joke about the "Acoustic Mayhem" in this episode, but...shouldn't someone tell Piggy and Josh that Zoot and Lips are already acoustic to begin with? IIRC the sax and trumpet, being wind instruments, are acoustic by default. (Aww, heck, I love this show so much...
I don't see why not. Moreover, now that the Muppets and Star Wars are now both part of the Disney family, Disney can now include the S4 Mark Hamill episode free of charge! I just hope they'd correct their oversights of S1's deleted songs and include the 60 minutes spot from S3 (which shows...
It's amazing that what started out life as a short little musical segment in The Muppets Take Manhattan became an oft-copied trend in the world of animation. It's no surprise that there have been endless variations on this trope (it is a trope, right?) from Hanna-Barbera's The Flintstone Kids...
Minor Muppetz' comment about Frank swearing in the commentaries to his own films reminds me of something found in season 3 in TMS. In the sketch where Fozzie is seen sawing a robot in half, the robot begins to whine ("Mama, mama!"), after which Fozzie tells him to shut up. What Fozzie said (to...
After looking at the concept art of Kermit and Piggy's " dream kids" on the Puppet Heap website (http://www.puppetheap.com/#/muppets/), I can't help but be reminded of the TMM Frawley Camera test on the Columbia-Tristar DVD.
On that DVD, there is a segment between Kermit and Piggy where Piggy...
The Southern accent Jim gave him does suggest he's from that region, although of course this does not necessarily imply that he is either from Texas, lived in or visited Texas recently (or any time in his life), or lived around Texan neighbors.
Considering the fact that he was a caricature of...
Incidentally there WAS a Pigs in Space game for the Atari 2600, but from what I've heard, it's PAL-only:
