Ah, teachers and their quirks! Though it can be necessary in an unruly class.
Know what's really weird? I only really found out about Richard a couple years go, like 2002. I didn't know much about him at all yet, just the basics. That was went the interest really started. At that time, I was...
Ack, I just noticed a typo in what I wrote this morning. I meant to write "Just remember what Richard used to tell his students...'Just shut up and do it'!'".
Just wanted to correct that. :)
Actually I was very surprised. I mentioned Mummenschanz to my Father and he instantly knew who I was talking about (and he had no idea they'd been on The Muppet Show). Apparently, they did have a following at that time in the '70s. Which makes sense, there was also a show called Shields and...
I don't think teen mothers should be treated as lepers (not that anyone here is). People do make mistakes in this life (unfortunately this type of mistake seems to keep happening). And the boyfriends who suddenly abandon them aren't critisized enough in my opinion.
But yeah, teen mothers...
Well I think that's more of an opinion question. I've seen in some of your posts that you don't like the longer segments. But I personally enjoyed them and still do. Either way is fine, but I think it really does depends on the personal taste of the kid. That's another thing to keep in mind, not...
I think the general feeling is they were all experienced and well known artists in the entertainment field, though some may have been more "mainstream" than others.
I agree, "Hey Cow" was unintentionally hilarious, lol.

No...
Hehehe
But I refuse to call it painful since it reminds me of all the life actions SS skits of my childhood. :)
It definitely could be. You know I have every respect for experts in their fields, but I think sometimes these people think too much! Hehe
Plus all this stuff about "confusing" children. They are young, not stupid. I've worked with kids that young, and they are sharp and very intuitive. And...
Thanks, B! Hehe, I do like to stretch my limits every now and then. ;)
Oh, believe me, I was shaking...and shivering...with fear. The entire day. I kept saying to myself, "Why did I agree to do this?"
I knew I'd be upset and disapointed if I didn't do the presentation, but I was still...
Thanks, MN! Well we discussed the reasons people often turn to religion/spirituality and thoughts of God and Heaven. Especially during hard times, you need to know someone cares. And you need to know that there's more to existence than just suffering and death is not the end.
And then we also...
I definitely would love to see more footage of them recording things. Probably unlikely to happen, but you never know!
Oh I forgot to mention, I did my presentation at Bible Study last night. Overall it went very well. I was nervous all day, but in a strange way I sort of liked it. I imagined...
Don't feel bad, I watched Sesame Street all the time and I can't remember ever even seeing Mr. Music! I don't know how that happened!
Yeah it's a great character, so extreme lol. ("But Canaries aren't blue!") And it's a good lesson. It doesn't pay to get all worked up and hopeless, you should...
