I do think the first interpretation is correct, it's a slightly risque (not to mention old) joke. Lol
But that's an interesting interpretation about the "operating" and "talk"; I hadn't thought of it that way before. :)
Definitely loved Taz-Mania, watched it nearly every day. The characters were so crazy. I guess my favorites were Bull Gator & Axl and also Buddy Boar ("Oh, that's Buddy Boar. He used to be a character on the show, but no one liked him. So they made him a producer!").
If I could dress up as a Muppet for Halloween, then I'd definitely go with one of the Electric Mayhem (either Janice, Floyd or Zoot), just because they dress so hip! :flirt: :sing:  Lol, and I enjoy imitating them too, especially Janice.
I think it's very kind of them to do an DVD like this, for the sake of the families and children who are suffering. They have to know that someone cares about the sacrifices they've made. And they have to learn how to deal with it all.
However, I do agree, this should never have happened in...
I'm definitely going to go with "Disco D". Love the song, very catchy, hopelessly dated! Lol
But I agree with what someone said earlier, they show classic shows on TV all the time, and they're not just watched by adults. So why not put a little more faith in classic Sesame Street? I do not...
Well I don't know all the details, but unfortunately most big concerts today do cost a lot of money. That's a fact of life. Personally, I don't blame parents for being annoyed, heh.
I understand what you mean, some of the background Fraggles were clearly done on the rush, though understandably so. :)
Beige does remind me of Scooter as well, he's so eager to do his job properly. ;)
Yeah that kind of thing annoys me a bit, I mean, if that's all they're focused on they are clearly missing the point. And yes I know it's just a joke, but still! :halo:
It is interesting, on the one hand, we want to progress and get better at our various crafts. But along the way we often lose a lot of charm and character getting there (actually, heh George Harrison said something similar once hehe).
Oh yes I recall that quote, George was a very involved gardener later in life (he did have like a 40 acre house! lol). He tried very hard to appreciate life and keep his priorities in order. :)
Yeah the "U" falling is the typical slightly scary side of Sesame Street, lol. You don't see that so...
Yeah it sounds like they were really intent on getting Paul, and so didn't try so much to get the others. Which is a shame, but because George would have been great, he had a great sense of humor.
Now that I think of it...there is a picture of George with a Kermit doll on his head. And he's...
I love all those Sesame Street Beetle clips, thanks for sharing! They're clever parodies and adorable songs in their own right, lol. And I really adore Chris' voice, it's just so unusual.
Personally I agree with Meep that Richard is mainly channeling John when he sings them. I wonder if he...
You can also write to The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of Television and Radio), they have a research section that answers questions for the general public. They also have a hand full of Sesame Street episodes available for viewing (but not lending) in their library...
Hi! It's great that your child is so into Sesame Street already. It must be very exciting to be able to introduce it all to her. I know what you mean, some book illustrations are better than others. Personally I always admired Joe Mathieu's work, as well as several others.
The Sesame Street...
