I did get told to stop reading certain kids books at one point, lol. Which I could definitely understand, but it was purely for nostalgic value. Thankfully, as you get older and begin making your own money, hehe, you can buy your own things (wisely). :)
Oh yeah you're right, I hadn't thought of that! Like I said in an earlier post, sometimes you can almost see the characters in their performers.
In the "Scared Silly" segment, for two seconds, Richard sort of resembles one of those Muppet Show monsters, lol (I mean that in a nice way...
I don't recall ever seeing Leo on the show unfortunately , but I found this very amusing clip!

And here's a photo of Richard Hunt performing him (with I think David Rudman assisting, is that right?):

Yeah I think it was for the picture, it looks like one of those photos where you're all told to ham it up, lol.
Yeah we'll probably never know but I'm willing to bet it's him. The "head tilt" thing really looks right. And he'd enjoy being able to beat up Kermit like that Lol. And then...
I think people all have a "good taste" secton of their brain and a "bad taste" section. These shows simply feed into the bad side that everyone possesses. The way audience used to enjoy people being thrown to lions. These shows would go away if people simply refused to watch them. But it's not...
Yeah I'm sorry you got that reaction. I've been pretty lucky to have family and friends who tolerate my interest (for the most part hehe). But I have a friend who said she got the same reaction about Disney, like, "Why are you still watching those?" But I think people who say things like simply...
Rich Little is one of the first guests of the season, current Fozzie barely had time to develop his current personality. And many sources say The Muppet Show didn't really become a powerhouse, popular show until the 2nd season (and not at the very beginning). If Rich Little was a guest in say...
Yeah I love that photo, lol.
In the Muppets Take Manhattan DVD, Jim Henson talks about all the walking scenes they had to do out in the open. They all had to lay down on a rolling dolley together. I believe he described it as very "silly." Lol
I've been wondering about this clip. The hand...
I don't think I've ever had a really bad cringe moment in Fraggle Rock so far. The big ones came in Muppet Show Season 1, mainly when some of those "At the Dance" jokes fell flat, lol. But you know, that's Show Biz!
Lol, that happened to me when showing some friends Season 1 of Muppet Show! Luckily, they already liked the Muppets. But yeah that can be such a pain, because you know you're not crazy and you know the Muppets are great. And you know it's not your fault if people give up after only five minutes...
Yeah I know! We take it all for granted when we watch those puppet scenes, we have no idea all the crazy work that's behind it. It's also cool when watching the Muppet projects to realize that Richard's contribution was strong even when one of his characters wasn't on screen. In what other film...
I agree, I mean, Barney is the kind of show that will appeal to the masses, but doesn't necessarily equal quality. You see those kinds of shows forever populating primetime, and unfortunately they creep into children's entertainment as well, heh.
That's why I say it's not enough if the...
