Buck, sounds like a brilliant idea here. Open Source is quite interesting. I'd like to contribute to this project. Giving me to get my shoes in gear for puppet building and to dust off the camera for some recording.
Media production is my game baby and I'm here to help.
I completely agree Buck. Storytelling is a prime key. At the moment I am in stale-mate with my own project, nice idea with the puppet but what's the story?
But yes, telling a story has always been my prime when starting a project.
Lab Rat, I absoultely love all the puppets we've seen from you on ebay. My favourite would have to be this one and that man puppet you did.
Do you make these especially for ebay? or have they been used for a production and then put on ebay?
I love the eyes on all of your creations, so I...
I have had the experience the previous posters have had...
Peterborough, Cambridge and Milton Keynes all have Disney stores; and on previous visits have all stocked those god awful Disney Muppet plushies... but on a recent visit to all of them (the wife likes Disney stores-OUCH my wallet) and...
They may have appeared on Channel 4 I cannot remember to be certain. But I do remember them on Saturday morning television on ITV - then they were replaced by two latex-faced Leprecorn puppets (scary but funny).
Those of you who are familiar with Britain's favourite cheap-puppet-children's show "Rainbow" will remember that Roy Skelton (also well-known as the voice of the Daleks in the original series of "Doctor Who") did the voices for both George and Zippy.
Though, to be honest, I am unaware that he...
I absoutely love "Mad Monster Party"
Had the VHS for over 15 years and its still going. Recently purchased the soundtrack - brilliant stuff away from the sound effects and other voices.
Can't say I've seen anything else of theirs... been tempted to get the book about it all. And maybe...
**** this new playing of "From the Balcony" I am sitting here while the **** thing "buffers" but it wont buffer whole before I can play it, so it is stopping and carrying on when it buffers some.
Any chance someone has managed to get these flash video things to download outside of the website...
Hiya,
Not too sure this is the place for such a question... but... here goes...
The logo for "The Muppet Chrismtas Carol" - what font is it? What is it called? And where can I get a Windows Typeface which is similar or at least very very close?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you...
Maintain the heat? Um, I just let it soak, for acouple of hours, and the let it out to dry.
Before James gets to this thread - don't put antron fleece into a dryer! You will wreck the material and it will most probably fall to bits. Antron fleece is made of nylon and with excessive heat, via...
Puppet exercises?
All I do is lipsynch my naked hand with songs, or with whatever conversation I am having... though to family and friends mind! Complete strangers would think Mr Bimbal lives in my hand!
My previous job allowed me to work with my puppets on a fair regular basis enough to...
If you can maintain that temperature!
I use Dylon Machine Dye... or whatever it is, comes in alittle metal tin.
First I empty the required amount into a jug of hot water and let that stand for a second or two, then I put the whole of my antron into a tub of hot water, and add the dye...
Top puppets mate! Avenue Q ones seem alittle too big to me... but they still look good. Trekkie looks alittle clean shaven to me! hehe.
Pretty darn good... looks like I will be next for Q puppets... fingers crossed.
David.
I back what James as said - since he told me pretty much the same thing when I wanted something along the lines of Fozzie's fur!
From experience, I dyed some long pile fur and it got the same texture or at least, very similar, texture to Fozzie and the such. But the fur pile is alitle too...
Sorry to hear about that fire mate!
Suggestion; why not come up with an ironic name for your puppet company?
Smoking Felt? or maybe Smoking Puppets?
ya know, something funny and firey!
Hope this finds you well.
David.
