Excellent work James!
I particularly like the Yellow Dog!
I loved Mopatop! Shame CITV over here in the UK, doesn't play it anymore :-(
Good work!
David.
Reminds me of my Jez puppet here but without the large eyes and rods, he has tiny black pupil eyes and "live" hands for two performers - the kids loved him at my previous job!
Its a brilliant puppet btw.
David.
Obviously I didn't mean Disney personally make the things, I generally meant the companies Disney has got them to make. The last few decent Muppet stuffed things I got were the Applause Kermit Hand Puppet. Even the McDonalds muppet toys they released were better!
Yes, Eric looks alittle rough around the edges. though I wouldn't class him as a Muppet really... but the adverts he appeared were darn good... as was that music...
Hiya,
Going through my old tapes (when I use to watch television alot) I found this very, very old feature from one of our UK television channels, ITV/CITV from a programme called 'Scoop' basically a children's info sort of show, only ran for about 12 weeks.
This 5 minute video file sees...
Hiya,
I do apologise if this has been mentioned at all before but here goes...
I recently popped into my local Disney store and only just remembered that Disney own the Muppets so I wondered over to the wall display of Muppet dolls and toys.
And to my horror I was unfortunate to see...
Sewing antron fleece was very difficult at first and sometimes I can only manage seam-less sews if I sit in concentration for a week. I do have good and bad days with sewing antron fleece.
As for glueing foam together(?) just a matter of hot glue really and pressing it together till it dries...
Ladies and gentleman;
I couldn't seem to find my own thread "A new beginning..." to update it so I'm starting a new one here... hope no one minds!
My original base for puppet pictures seems to have disappeared, so I've got a place at photobucket. So check out...
Drew Massey.
There's a good look at a behind-the-scenes of the episode in the 2004 Year Magazine... including Drew Massey performing the puppet with his assistance being the hands... I'll see about scanning them.
What are my chances of contacting Drew about it?
I love that puppet. I want to make similar for an upcoming video project I have in the works.
I'm curious about Angel puppet's eyebrows? Is that hand operated (as inside the head by the puppeteer hand) or is it external or something?
I too will be induring a production that requires everything to be done audio-wise first then will be dramatised by puppets afterwards. Considering I am in lacking in available actors requires me to adopt people from the internet to do voices for me (something I am quite use too being listed in...
Cheers for the advice chaps. I'll see what I can do with real hair products about styling my puppets' hair.
And I'm still investigating this rod thing so will give your way a try scarylarry.
Woofus, glad to hear you're enjoying my adventures in the Puppet Building World! The penguin will...
Right after a very long time and many holes in fingers I've finally managed to finish the "Sean" puppet... the rod isn't exactly attached to him properly since I had sew up the antron fleece on his hands before I managed to get something in there to attach a rod too - so its temporary right now...
