Seems no one's interested, but a few new details surfaced.
It will have the Same animation studio as Prime as expected (it's a continuation after all)'
The series will be called Robots in Disguise... which isn't confusing at all. The cast is set at Bumblebee, Sideswipe, a newcomer named...
I honestly hate the inconsistency of a movie opening in first with a weak take being considered a hit (even when it doesn't make back its budget) while a movie opening in a strong second is a failure. A real loser is something that opens at a distant third and disappears the next weekend...
Exactly. It's not bad for a pre-summer break weekend in June. Once the weekday summer crowd comes in, the movie will really make its money. Something tells me it's going to do well in the long run. I mean, the animated films that would likely be the competition are the long gone Oz movie and...
Legend of Zelda fans will always whine about the cartoon show, but it was surprisingly good for it's day. I like that they made Zelda as unprincessy as possible. Heck, she was good enough to be her own action hero. Too bad that concept was wasted, and all we got out of it in game form was CD-I...
I share a birthday with him. That's not really a close bond or anything, but I always found it great that I had something sort-of-ish connecting me to a great cartoon character.
I love the story about how he just got so angry at the Transformers writers making Middle Eastern villains live in...
Probably because they actually have talent working on that show. I never understood the appeal of these "let's steal videos from the web and claim them as our own" shows. Most of them are just horrible. Like that one that was on CN... shudder.
As for shows coming back, I say this way too...
I honestly hate how Nick wants Spongebob level ratings...when they almost cancelled Spongebob in the first place. At least TMNT has a strong audience and merchandise presence. At least we're getting 3 seasons of it, and it's a great show. I think it's slowly becoming my favorite TMNT...
50 Million isn't bad. Dragon's in it for the long run, and no doubt kids will flock to it on weekdays once summer vacation hits. Kung Fu Panda 2 did around the same amount, and there's still going to be a third film (at least). Personally, I just wish CN cleared up a spot on its schedule to...
You know what ticks me the heck off? Kids born after the 90's who have no appreciation for what cartoons were like in the 1980's. Jeez. We had a Hulk Hogan cartoon about Wrestling where they couldn't actually wrestle. And while there were cartoons that were kinda dark and had story arcs and...
I wonder if they could fit just the cut episodes uncut on one DVD so you don't have to rebuy a whole set.
Of course, it's hypothetical that if they can't clear out the rights to 4+5, I'm sure they still can't renegotiate the first season.
Freaking music copyright holders.
Shoulda got Muppet Babies writer/Grandson of Moe Jeffery Scott to write/consult one. If anyone checked out his "How to write for Animation" book, he had like several revivals (including a Spinoff Babies Stooge series) that went no where in his filmography.
The Spinoff Babies bit actually...
Yep. That's the Farrelly Brothers talent right there. Taking a classic idea that sells itself and shoving a Seltzer/Freberg-esque "at the moment " bit that will date the film the second it gets released to theaters.
Seriously. Only good film was Osmosis Jones. And only for the animated...
Now that I can watch it regularly (but it's usually on when I least suspect it, and almost miss it every time), I really have to say I'm loving this series. I especially love how they absolutely worship that hasbeen action star, and he's like a total jerk to them half the time.
Yeah. Nick has these crappy game shows now. They have one about Web videos... and we all know how much people love watching internet videos on the not internet. At least they have the Slime.
Though Double Dare did have a comeback of sorts... Sanjay and Craig had a tribute episode complete...
Dragon's going to do fine in the weekdays once school's out. There's no competition for animated films, and it's pretty much THE animated film of the summer. Pixar moved its film up to next year, and all we've seen are Legends of Oz (that opened incredibly poorly), and Planes 2, which pretty...
Counterpoint! Sonic Underground! Or if you want to get technical...every video game movie ever made with like 2 exceptions, maybe. Unless you count the Street Fighter anime movies. Those are pretty tight. There's potential for a GOOD Mario movie out there, but Nintendo would refuse to let it...
That's mainly because Viacom sunk a lot into buying TMNT from Laird, so they're going to shove that film down everyone's faces to get the most of that investment. Though the current cartoon series seems to sell toys quite well in very big toy buying portions of the year (they disappeared...
FINALLY! Johnny Test had, like, one good (if you can call it that) season back when WB was producing it. CN kept picking it up because it was cheap. The one plus side of them airing Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go, Gumball, and Regular Show on an infinite loop (I love those shows and all, but...
