Jamie has a point on this one. For those who have actually heard of the original book, this would have a niche market (minus those who feel that someone over 40 in the teenager's role for the sake of celebrity deviates too far from the concept and wouldn't want to see it). Then again, there's...
Seems that's why they cast him instead of a logical teenager/Dawson Casting 20+ year old that looks like a teenager. I wonder how the film is actually doing in the Japanese market for that matter.
Which would be a better show, anyway. So glad I managed to get that figure from the blind bag Lego Movie figure sets before they disappeared quickly.
Anyway, speaking of Disney... they're totally pushing some remake of Zapped. As in the movie 1980's Lois wanted to take Peter to because "Scott...
That was supposedly a while ago. Unless they've had another rift in their relationship since then, they have made an "animated" movie and guest starred on the Simpsons parodying that breakup.
I'm the opposite. I really liked the movie until I found out it was a ripoff of Perfect Blue. The director can call it an homage all day, he still borrowed so heavily from it that you can say it was the only Satashi Kon movie that actually won an Oscar.
That could be due to the fact it's based off a Japanese novel with a completely different title (if I'm to understand correctly, this film shares the title of a completely irrelevant novel, at least half of a Star trek episode title). You know. One that's probably never been released here in...
Would you rather it be Flash? I don't trust most animation studios that use it to be of Wander Over Yonder quality. And frankly, with a cartoon with a HIGH level of squash and Stretch, it needs WOY quality. Or at least Teen Titans Go quality. I see Season 16 of Arthur quality.
Still, they...
Which has never been a problem. NONE of the cast members of Sesame Street that work on Muppet projects have been recast ever. The performers are still freelance, and aren't owned by Disney. I doubt they'd need to recast anyone who's still around, and I'm sure these freelance puppeteers can...
That said, I give Disney credit for breaking things up into 2 channels, and Nick for "The 90's are All That" block. And, frankly, I never really liked tweencoms, even back in the days of Saved by the Bell. But this isn't really the thread for this.
So, like, how long does anyone expect Planes...
I've never been a fan of the live action shows on Nick or Disney... well, not all the live action shows on Nick, of course... the 80's Canadian ones were always fun, Double Dare was always great, and I do like Pete and Pete, All that, and by extension Kenan and Kel. And as far as Disney goes...
The TV show hasn't been on for some time, actually. Like I said, CN has not so much as run an episode before the run up to the movie's release, only running the same 5 shows in succession all day long (before Adult Swim, of course). An opportunity was lost. Meanwhile, Nicktoons runs KFP and...
Tcch... Even if that film was good, there's no way it manages to live up to the artistry of the the original one. Like I said, Sleeping Beauty's not one of my favorites for the content, but the film's look blows most things away. It's a very beautifully animated work, and on that level alone a...
If something's on long enough, it's an institution that can't be done away with without a HUGE uprising. SNL manages to pack people in on election years, so that may be a factor. And what is NBC going to replace it with? Another Biggest Loser? SNL may be unfunny depending on the cast...
Like I said before, every movie Pixar has done a sequel to was exactly what Disney planned for them had they still been under the leadership of Eisner. We're fortunate that we've been spared those movies. They would have barely been DTV quality. MU may get the business for some reason, but...
Going the opposite direction, it really should have been a television show or series of shorts. I liked the new student characters, but felt the time frame of the movie didn't let them reach their full potential. Still, you have to admit it's much more fun as a movie than the past 2. It...
Considering that SW can stand to benefit on merchandising, why not have more of it instead of a sea of Elmo books? I'm glad that the merchandise has more of an even handed focus over Non-Elmo characters, though. But it's a prime opportunity (no Hasbro related pun intended) for some older...
Believe me. I'd love to trust this thread.
Then I'd love to trust watching anything on Youtube without completely unnecessary racist/homophobic/bitterly political/juvenile comments. It's the internet. Half of it's about "Look how cute this cat is, let's give each other hugs over the...
It would be cool if they could at least use things from just before the HD/widescreen shift. And at least in a consistent manner. And without having to use pop culture clips that are far from being relevant anymore.
Can you believe they reused the Preschool Musical skit this season? The...
