I wish TMS somehow went on into 1986 or so...(without missing out on other projects of the time) then we would have had this guest: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/61/174927709_7d4057df3d_o.jpg
Click on it for a full size view, and just ignore the statement below the picture, made by some square...
LOL yes, I can just picture that scene all across the land, because a youtube post said a similar thing - they said they and their sibling were saying "Wow, he rickrolled us!" And then they had to explain rickroll to their mom and grandma...:D
That's cool you like those well enough :) They were closer to that original punk sound when they started, but branched out a bit (like the Clash did, but differently of course) rather than be boxed in to one style...however, after Bob Stinson was no longer in the band, they recorded "Pleased To...
And they're also not overrated since they totally get the shaft when it comes to rock history and/or praise, even though their independent spirit and unique style influenced copycats who stole their sound, made it slick, and sold millions of CDs. I also think Paul Westerberg's voice is rather...
a band who's not overrated
Just gotta put my 2 cents in about "Alternative" music....(and again, people have every right to disagree with me, because labels on music are a pain anyway, but...) the early 80's brought true alternative bands like The Replacements (most people love their 1984 album...

Scrooge McDuck & Money from 1967! :)
Features the nephews as well...same color hats on all three though...red
Nice! I love "Sway" and "I Got The Blues" and others on there...and of course, musically, you can't go wrong with "Brown Sugar"...Mick said he wrote the music, but somehow I feel that Keith gave that guitar part it's vibe, even if Mick did make the chords. (No disrespect to the Mickster.)
I feel DrTooth and RedPiggy are correct. We (non-righties?) aren't asking for much...just don't go all BP Richfield on us.
(That reminds me of a righty quote: "lefties think with their heart instead of their brain, like us". I found that to be more decent than I expected, because that sounds...
Well said, Nick! When you're able, and feel the time is right to vote, you'll think for yourself instead of blindly voting on party lines. That is very cool. It's hard for either side to imagine voting a member of the other side, due to the idealogical differences, but I think there are indeed...

Same I posted here a few months ago, for those who haven't seen it. To say Mr. Spinney is such a cool guy is an understatement!:wisdom:
Dinosaurs is an amazing show with many features to be proud of...one of it's best being it's social/political statements! At the same time, it's sad how right it is, and how nothing changes :(
But I LOVE Dinosaurs :)
I know my comment is a cliche, but really - if everyone would follow the beautiful words you just wrote there, the world would have no problems...we'd have heaven on earth.
As for bad luck, I know it well too (I don't want to explain - but trust me lol I'm not whining about nothing or being all "woe is me")...but it's strange, I still can't bring myself to think there's anything cosmic going on against me (unless I quote the song "Bad Karma" by Warren Zevon that...
What a talent, and many wonderful memories! I love the characters she voiced to this very day, and I appreciate her contributions to my childhood! And I look forward to Rudolph this year, as I have every year. In this way, she shall live on...
You're right - it was the exact sound of the vocals on the 1987 recording. I think DrTooth just meant that Rick himself showed up (which is amazing in itself, since he had to fly over just to do that for us) :)
Too bad the DJ's didn't play the song, but thanks for sharing the cool memories again!
