Right on! It was so weird (and sad!) to lean from "Street Gang" that my theory was EXACTLY right - Barney's popularity made everything change for the worst, including the negative changes to SS...all because "Kids love Barney, so we gotta make SS more like Barney" - well, when you learn how SS...
Since the original performers either chose to leave, had to leave, or aren't with us anymore, I appreciate the efforts of all who keep the characters alive. And of couse there are many things from the last 20 years I have thought fit right in with the classic Muppet feel, such as Muppet...
Now there's a light at the end of the tunnel - and maybe then they'll get back the original voice actors who are available and willing. :D PS How To Train Your Dragon was very good indeed!:super:
Anyone remember this?

Did these characters ever appear again? (other than Elmo, minus his Royal status in this special)...
I found Dinosaurs wallpaper on ebay once :search:
I wish there was a site with a complete listing of all merchandise made for that wonderful, one-of-a-kind show! Including McDonald's toys, etc...
Since everyone is CGI happy, they should bring back Waldo! :) However, I can imagine people complaining about them "selling out" by "recently creating" a CGI character, when we know he was born in the 80's! :)
(Sorry, I know I'll repeat myself here from another thread on the Smurfs a little while back) I agree it's a great cast for the most part. I can't argue with that - especially Jonathan Winters! However, I think it's a sad state of affairs that all CGI studios insist on using the voices of movie...
I only saw the 1st Chipmunks movie with Jason Lee - I also loved them as a kid, so I was afraid to try it. I had my expectations SO LOW, that it wound up being less horrible than I thought...but there were still so many things wrong with it. I can't say it was great. I really don't like them...
Me too. They have a new cartoon, but it's on too early on Sundays  I loved the 1993 series, but sadly it doesn't get airplay, or respect, or even attention. But I feel it was really something special and great.
I really liked that movie too, LOL! Will I buy it? No, but that's just because I am picky when it comes to movies - believe it or not! I still say you should try "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs"
but there are films I will not see - the new A Team movie, for example - out of respect for the...
I want to look into "How Spider Saved" now, since that's the only series I don't remember - but I know I loved the others, so I'm sure I would have loved that, too! Also, Richard Scarry books, Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer, etc!:insatiable:
You always explain your reasons fairly and intelligently, so everything's cool :) and I appreciate your thoughts. I also enjoyed the Ralph Bakshi and John K Mighty Mouse! Especially Bat-Bat! :) And his sidekick - though I recall the comic version (with those characters) a little better right...
I gotta agree with you on LT: BIA, and LU (though I never saw LU) and I don't know many Will Ferrel movies. I think John C Reilly is better (and I've never seen Stepbrothers, just Walk Hard)
As for the cartoon, I liked the Marmaduke parts of "Heathcliff and Marmaduke" better than the Baby Blues cartoon of the late 90's.
Also, I think Pink Panther & Sons was cool. I love all those early 80's cartoons so much (though my fave Panther cartoon is the 1993 series - wish it was on...
LT BIA was directed by Joe Dante - who rocks, and had cameos from Roger Corman and Dick Miller, who rock. But sadly, it wasn't enough, because they claimed kids didn't know the looney tunes at that time:o hard to believe. And I agree with you on both points. What's LU?
