I've got all 24 episodes off the net so there is no reason for me to spend the money to buy edited episodes. I just do not like these edits. i mean it's disney. They can't work something outto get the rights? And how many others songs are going to be cut in the next box set and the next?
And so you are sayijg Disney cut it because they talked to Jim Henson from the great beyond and he said they should cut it?
At Muppet Fest the reel was shown and they did not cut it and that was done by the Jim Henson Company and Brian Henson was there as well as the rest of the family I'm sure.
After ewatching the Chef clip again, and this time knowing what it was about, it wasn't that bad. I liked the OJ Simpson reference. Bill and who ever did the hands could use some practice though. The hands are a big part of the performance and the two performers have to be co-ordinated...
36 years, going on 37 and more. I hope Mr. Spinney makes it to yseason 40 before he retires, if he decideds to retire then that is. 40 is a nice number. 50 would be even better, but he would probably be in his late 80's by then. Might be a bit too much to get to season 50.

I really think Scooter would be perfect for an interview or something. I mean, they have gone through the touble of recasting him, they should use him more.
What was great about the movie was that it was a big bird movie, but every scene did not have to include big bird. In Elmo in Grouch land it was as if every scene had to invclude Elmo in some way, many times alone.
I actually did not like it much I thought the Chef was horrible. Bill does not seem to do well with Chef at all. The voice constantly cracked it it sounded more like the same 3 words over and over again than a real mock swedish language. I'm starting to get annoyed while watching thse now.
This was somethng Jim Henson himself put in the reel. He did it for a reason.
1. It's funny.
2. It shows the muppets aren't squeaky clean fluff balls.
Sure, it's just a word, but it's hilarious and so is the timing of it. There is no valid reason to cut it. How many other things...
But why edit Kermit out of a Disney owned pitch reel on a Muppet Show box set? Not because of character rights issues but because of censorship. It's not right.

Well I will be sorely dissappointed if the reel is edited like that. Makes me wonder if they will cut out **** from GMC. There really is no reason for it.
Oh I see. So he did not dub in for Piggy, it would have been him doing the song. I thought it was suppose to be him doing Piggy's voice. For some reason I forgot that the entire song was a voice over.
