Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Very well said. I agree 100%. these "fake" muppets would be like seeing a celeb impersonator, only imagine if celeb impersonators started showing up places and actually saying they were the real celeb. What if Deniro had an army of "fake" Deniros. He sent one to do a cruise and say he was...
Why would you need soemthng like that? There really isn't a reason to have that. A kid will ike an animatronic Kermit as much as a puppet. Heck a kid would like a giant suit as much as a puppet. I just don't like the idea of fake Kermits being presented to the oublic like this and let's say...
Why are my choices a guy in a suit or a fake kermit? Why not have a wonderful animatronic puppet voiced by Steve, or perhaps a live show with a sound track done by the real performers it works for other shows.
If there are other performers for the characters, who is to say the original performers won't be tossed aside for cheaper labor? It's a slippery slope.
I like bases for statues and PVCs. Since you can't move them like an action figure, I think it is important to get as much life into a statue as possible.
There is really no point in getting the GMC or TMM special editions if you own the original dvds. the only real new content is some new behind the scenes look and some interviews with Pepe for some reason.
It has to do with reference photos of the puppets. Many times a sculptor will use poser pictures to sculpt the figures and in the poser pictures Floyd held the guitar right handed. So, it is really idiotic possitioning.
John Henson performed. Richard did the voice. It was the last production to have all the performers, except Kevin Clash I think. So I guess M@WDW was the last production to use everyone.
I actualy hope there are not any good extras on the GMC and TMM dvds because I odn't want to buy these again. As for the MCC dvd, anything is fine cause I do not have it and the MTI one will be wide screen so that is worth the buy.
I think the mini muppet line had some wasted opportunities. Series 1 was ok, but series 2 was awful. If series 2 never happened I think the mini line would have gone on longer.
