That's because the waist down on the show for the most part was never meant to be seen and probably was not thought out too much while the figures lower halves were meant to be seen and match the top half.
Why did Jim resent Alf?
I think Alf is the only non-muppet puppet that is treated just like a muppet character. That is he is treated like a living character with a back story and stuff. I can't think of another puppet star like that besides maybe some kids show full body costumes.
What if they just called these realistic life size dolls? Would that make you feel better?
It's not really any different then those life size busts you can buy and stuff like that. It just happens to be a ull body puppet.
BTW, I think it looks pretty bad myself. Face is off and the...
This is exactly what I thought the JHC would do. The fraggles are the only muppets they have left and they are going to promote them like crazy! So now we'll have muppets competeing against muppets competeting againsts muppets for the same markets!
Sesame and Fraggle Rock will compete...
I think some direct to DVD movies are good like the Alladin stuff. Other than Homer Simpsons taking over for Robin in the second one the Alladin trilogy is pretty good, though nothing beats the first in the series.
While I owuld not like to see a direct to DVD sequel I would like to see...
Yeah, a 15 minute spot does not take that long. Now maybe Steve was busy with this world trip thing, but then Bill should have stepped in for Statler as usual. If there are no muppet productions in production then there is nothing keeping the performers busy. Ernie doesn ot have much screen...
I too hope these replacements stay on moies.com and don't get used in tv spots or movies. It suck if the real performers never came back though. I owuld like to see Gonzo and Kermit shpw up for that middle segment at some point. Also it would be nice is Bill switched with Eric at some point...
Yeah, Steve and Dave are Likely busy. These are the same performers who did the original episode that apprently was not suppose to be released. Itsounds like the guy who did Waldorf this time was doing Dr. Teeth and I would guess Animal was done by the guy doing Statler.
Since there are...
I think he sounded better in AVMMC. In Oz he was playing scared a lot and it sounded too much like Piggy. The normal Fozzie voice is quite good though. It's better if you don't try comparing though and just let the voice be Fozzie.
Dang, that's a lot. I wonder howm any I have.
One of the cool things about the line is all the pack in characters. I mean, we have Java muppets, koozebanians, Polly Lobster, singing food, and more.
Count, would you happen to know how many unique muppet figures there are, including pack ins? Like, how many unique characters there are including repaints.
well let's see. We'll do this by counting variants, but no package variants that do not change the actual figure.
9 series with 4 figures each means 36 regular series figures alone.
One per case repaints are 1 for series 2-6 which is 5 and then 2 repaints in 7, 2 in 8, and 2 in 9...
Even with the changing of compnaies, they muppets were still the muppets. They were still the personalities. This plan will change that. And who is to say Baker won't decide it is easier to use performer A who lives in L.A. for something rather than Steve? He is a business man first. If...
