I thought all those years ago, Olivia said, kill, in that skit. So maybe it might've been, cue. I might've been wrong.
But I do remember Big Bird saying, "David's gonna kill me!" in that spilled milk skit.
Here’s how those sketches went.
The first skit happened in the late 70s. Olivia saw that Big Bird was running away. Big Bird explained why. David had to leave and said that Big Bird could fix his own breakfast. But Big Bird accidentally spilled the milk and birdseed on the table and broke...
It's all right. :) And I think that skit was based on a song about a just a one time romantic fling. Like with Helen and the camel.
"We'll sing in the sunshine. Then I'll be on my way!" :)
I remember the dwarfs had their names on their bed, but I don't remember if there were hearts on them.
Also, I just remembered another scary SS dream I had when I was a kid. The Two Headed Monster became a four headed monster. Two more heads sprouted out between the original two heads. And...
Thank you Beauregard. :) I thought you'd like seeing a commercial with Beau in it.
And I'm sorry you haven't seen an M&M commercial. I just thought those computerized cartoon candies would work well with the Muppets.
Thanx again for reading. :)
Xerus
This skit made me laugh so much. It took place in Kermit's usual brick wall setting. He was going to talk about between, but first he called out for Grover or Herry, making sure no monsters were around to mess things up as usual.
Then he stepped between two white poles, but one of the poles...
I remember in some old episodes, the characters used the word, kill. When Cookie Monster was watching the store, David told him not to touch those cookies or he'd kill him. And when Big Bird spilt some milk and birdseed, he was afraid David would kill him. And when Ernie was playing his drums...
I too thought those two old hecklers resembled Waldorf and Statler with those bad puns. Also that Mumbo go-fer telling everyone to get ready reminded me a lot of Scooter.
I also like to think that the Muppets made a deal with an animation studio to create the Muppet Babies and get voice artists to do the voices since the Muppets are too busy doing movies and specials.
It's kind of like how there are cartoons about certain rock stars and celebrities, but...
I really loved that sketch. Especially when the great Helen Reddy was singing, "We'll Sing in the Sunshine." She and the camel seemed to have great chemistry dancing together.
I've had a couple of SS and Muppets nigthmares and sweet dreams.
One time I had a dream that Ernie was bugging Bert in bed and Bert woke up with sharp teeth and red eyes and tried to attack Ernie.
And this afternoon I was taking a nap and had another weird Ernie and Bert dream. They were...
I too have that SS Cookbook. :) It was interesting how the Muppets shared their favorite recipes. I even tried making them myself and most of them were good, while some weren't. So far, I made....
Oscar's Junk Food Pie. (Pretty good.)
Shake It Awake. (Kind of made me sick.)
Snuffle's...
I like in the upstairs dressing room hall, where there's usually a Muppet or two watching silently from above at the antics Kermit and the other Muppets are doing downstairs. And sometimes that Muppet who's watching from above will later turn around and knock on a dressing room door. Then we...
How about in that song, AB-C-DEF..., where Big Bird sings that line? "But somewhere in the middle, it gets awfully QR to me!" I wonder if they'll censor that song too?
Once again, some more.
COMMERCIAL #9
Blue and Orange M&M were sitting on boxes backstage with an M&M bowl between them. They were watching some Muppet food like tomatoes, scallions, cabbage, and cake go buy.
"Living food?" asked Blue. "How weird!"
"But aren't we living food?" asked...
That blue monster with yellow horns was named Harvey in one sketch.
A purple guy went to a Lost N' Found dept. The green guy who works there asks if he lost something. The purple guy said he lost a friend. A friend named Harvey who had blue fur, horns, and two teeth. The LAF guy looked...
Bean made a current appearance in the Muppet's Party Cruise video game. He was challenging the gang to a game of speed bingo and he was calling out the winning numbers in his familiar voice.
All I can remember is that they trampled on Grover when they entered the elevator. And when they couldn't find him, they suggested that they all take the stairs. And Guy repeated, "Take the stairs."
