Here's what I remember from that skit for I've seen it many times when I was a kid.
The music was kind of creepy with some kind of horn playing. And it took place in a cave, like the one Ernie is in whenever he played the Caveman King. Three witches come in and they wanted to use their...
Ah yes. John Moschitta Jr. He had a talent for talking really fast. He also did some cartoon voices. In the Transformers, he did Blurr. The fastest car on wheels, along with the fastest talker, who start babbling really fast and long whenever he got nervous.
I believe John was also the...
I know Jim Henson did Mahna Mahna, Jerry Nelson did the green guy, Frank Oz did the blue guy, but does anyone know who did the purple one? His voice sounds familiar.
I remember that skit. It was in the very first episode of Sesame Street, where we were introduced to the Anything Muppets for the very first time.
I've also noticed when the Muppets talked, they sounded like the regular cast of Muppeteers. But when they sang, some of them had completely...
I also remember Forgetful Jones interviewing a kid about counting 12 fingers. Since the kid only had 10, Forgetful added his two fingers.
And also the cats, Chip and Dip interviewing a kid teaching him about the word, CAT. They said it's a creature who likes to play tricks on Oscar.
How about in the Tony Randall episode when those football players were chasing after Piggy thinking she was a pigskin? She was screaming her head off while those guys wanted to toss her around! That was another funny moment on the Muppet Show! :)
Thanks so much, JaniceFerSure for the lyrics to that wonderful song. :) Now I can remember them anytime I want. :)
And I think it's cool you got that classic movie on video. I hope to get that movie someday.
Yeah, I loved that vintage Muppet skit too. :) And the Dick Van Dyke version was very memorable also.
I noticed I hardly recognized the Muppets' singing voices in that skit. Except for Jim Henson who voiced the blue guy. Does anyone know who did the voices for the rest of those Muppets?
Where do you suppose Miss. Piggy learned her karate moves from? I'm thinking that she had a wise teacher who taught her the martial arts before she met Kermit. And I also wonder how this teacher would feel hearing how Piggy uses her karate for negative things like bullying people and striking...
Here's another idea for a Muppet Movie. Since they already did A Christmas Carol, how about if they did their version of another classic Christmas story? The Nutcracker.
Kermit could play the Nutcracker Prince. And he could have a set of teeth in his mouth in his nutcracker form and then...
I remember one time having a weird dream about the King of 8. The sketch went on normally, except whenever the king talked, his crown would jump up and down on his head. Pretty weird, huh?
Here's how the skit actually went. The girl saw the picket fence and dragged the stick acrossed it. And she counted seven posts. And then counted the posts backwards. Then counted fowards again. Then the huge scary grass monster rose showing that fence was his bottom teeth and was pretty...
Luckily, I managed to tape that whole SNL show while I was asleep last night. And I got all 3 scenes with the Muppets in them. I'd be glad to mail you a copy of the tape. Just contact me at culpit70@yahoo.com
Also, I'll be happy to trade the SNL tape with anyone who has The Muppets on Good...
