    BK Spongebob Commercial

I never understood the complaints about Joe Camel, btw. When I looked at him as a kid I knew he was clearly not Mickey Mouse! Lol, I mean, he was a cigarette ad and therefore off limits. Though, I don't think we can put all these examples in one box. They're all different and require different...

    BK Spongebob Commercial

No I don't think you're a bad person, hehe. As I said, it's hotly debated by professionals. It's only natural for regular people to debate it as well. ;) I actually agree, I think we've seen lately that many things can become addictions, even food. And perhaps some people are at least...

    BK Spongebob Commercial

Well that's a question that's debated a lot in the medical community. There's a school of thought that addiction is a matter of will power and the other school says it's dangerous to treat addiction as simply a matter of will power. That addicted people are sick need extra help and really can't...

    BK Spongebob Commercial

That's a very good point! Though I guess, fast food can be fine in moderation. While there's really no such thing as moderation with cigarettes.

    BK Spongebob Commercial

Btw, I just saw on the news 2 seconds ago that a Burger King just got in trouble for a crushed pill being found in a Mac and Cheese a little girl was eating. Man, they're just annoying everyone today! ;)

    BK Spongebob Commercial

I do get what you mean; perhaps it is a case of a song that sort of meant one thing, but was adopted by the culture in a much more ridiculous and sexist way.

    BK Spongebob Commercial

Oh yeah it's definitely a parody of something that was already horrible and sexist. The source of the trouble is with the original number (I won't give it the dignity of being called a "song.") ;) I can't understand why Burger King has gone so far downhill as far as advertising, heh.

    Spongebob Squarepants voice artists

I think sometimes it should be that way, but instead shows are milked for all they're worked until there's nothing left.

    Spongebob Squarepants voice artists

I do think Spongebob has gone the same way of Rugrats, the newer episodes are just not as mutli layered or clever, in my opinion.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets' Wizard of Oz

That's a good point, I think either way would have been cool (as long as they avoided the immature stuff the movie that was actually made had, heh).

He should be when he's being used to advertise burgers that AREN'T crabby patties! ;)

    BK Spongebob Commercial

I'm sorry but this commercial was disgusting and embarassing to me when I saw it on TV. We wonder why women are still so mistreated in our culture... I don't care that they're using Spongebob or that it's junk food. I care that it's incredibly sexist and immature. Whether it's aimed at adults...

    Imagining.

Lol, yes the Muppet Babies did do that very well, with excellent musical and visual transitions into the fantasy. To me, it was always kinda funny to see Sesame Street characters imagining things because, hello, their real world is already a little weird! Hehe :insatiable:

    The RHLC!

Interestingly, the early Disney full length cartoons (Snow White etc) often had that problem; the animators said they had trouble drawing male characters. Which is why you don't see them much in the story. Good luck on both of your art pieces, guys! I'm so happy, hehe, last night I went to a...

The one with the hat is great too, my only concern would be that I've seen it used a lot on the Web and I'd go for something different. But if you chose it, that's perfectly fine. :) The motorcycle shot is great too since it's full body. Good luck!

Do you feel bad for liking Sesame Street?

I hope this doesn't sound wrong but it's often true that if you're into quality, you're going to find yourself in small company. That's just something you have to deal with in life sometimes. Of course the more you broaden your horizons and the more people you meet, the more likely you'll find...

    Imagining.

Well you know I still do pretend sometimes, like imagine I'm in a different place or a character in a story I enjoyed. The only difference is I don't do it with dolls anymore, hehe.

Why are Elmo, Zoe, Rosita and Baby Bear so annoying to classic SS fans?

Yeah I mean I don't want to be too critical here, it's not like we're talking about a certain purple dinosaur, hehe. And I wouldn't be completely against my future kids seeing these characters. But I also know they'll be watching the Old School DVDs...disclaimer or no disclaimer. ;)
