But at least Pocahontas is based somewhat on historical fact. (Although obviously changed to suit the story and highly dramatized and so forth.) In any case, I can't really say for sure until I see the movie. I'm just going by my impressions of previews and such.

Yeah! I was so excited for this when I saw it. Something of The Jim Henson Hour is better than nothing!
It's at least a step in the right direction to get this whole show onto DVD!:)
Marilyn Monroe was in "Some Like It Hot" with Tony Randall
Tony Randall was on The Muppet Show with Kermit the Frog.
Hmm- not sure who all's been done before- but here goes:
Richard Dean Anderson
WHOA! I'm totally freaking out about Sherlock Hemlock being on Sesame Street and actually speaking and interacting with The Count! That rules! And definitely good to see Herry in there too. I'm really going to be looking forward to this "Hidden Gems" compilation video at the end of the season...
I wouldn't even have cared that much if there were extras or not really- but the line-up here certainly sounds pretty good. I'm excited to get this DVD when I can. And then I can really count my Fraggle Rock collection complete (as far as TV shows go... maybe one day there really will be a movie...
Here's a funny little Muppet connection to The Princess Bride I ran across on Wikipedia.
Reunion scene
In the novel's commentary, Goldman writes that he added nothing to the "original" Morgenstern text, although he comments that he did write one original scene, a loving reunion between...
Dude, I love The Princess Bride! It's an awesomely hilarious movie and a great book. (Which I may actually read one of these days. William Goldman also has a bit of a sequel to the book called "Buttercup's Baby" which is usually included in most printings of the book- though it's sort of an...
Wow- I finally had a dream about the Muppets (at least in recent memory. I have lots of dreams about random things- so I've probably had the Muppets in there before at some point... lol)
Anyway- not much to tell, but for some reason I dreamed I was playing basketball outside at my old house...
Not sure where this should go really, but just saw this and thought I'd pass it along for any interested. It seems one of the Sesame Street DVD releases won an award! (See site below). Yeah! Go Sesame Street!:):wisdom::super:

Nice! That playset is pretty cool. It does seem kinda rare to really see the human characters on Sesame Street represented in toys and products in general. The Fisher Price Little People are probably about as close as we'll come. Though if the Sesame Street action figure line that was proposed...
Hmm- okay. I think that's a different movie then. Is this the one you were talking about?:search:
(See link here.)
I've seen another movie in stores before and this one is made as a sequel to Jean Shepherd's "A Christmas Story". Maybe you got these two mixed up?:eek:
(See link here.)
Nicely said, Yorick. I totally agree with you- I get very tired of hateful witchhunt-type speech and actions no matter what point or side it is for. It especially irks me as a Christian when I see people who claim to follow Christ and yet ignore what He told us to do. "A new command I give you...
Argh! That's right- I keep forgetting about these ownership deals and stuff. I'm still in a "Muppet Family Christmas" kind of mindset, where The Muppets where all just one happy family and they could easily jump into each other's shows with no problem.
Well, at least Sesame Street already had...
