Ha ha- that's cool. I definitely love celebrating the birth of Christ at Christmas and all through the year- but I'm not offended at all. That was pretty funny and cool. Nice drawing- KISS has definitely put out some nice songs. (Mainly "Rock and Roll All Night Long" and "Detroit Rock City":))...
Well, both Olivia and Elmo are in "Follow That Bird", although I can't say that they necessarily interact. Elmo has an incredibly very brief cameo at best (more like just one of the background characters) in the movie and Olivia has much more of a major role. But I guess this is like saying they...
Wow- I'm not sure how to interpret that one. There's stuff that I'm sure Fozzie Bear considers his best material:o but Statler and Waldorf would definitely disagree.:boo::sleep: lol.
How about this one-
"Did you hear about the church that caught on fire?"
"Holy Smoke!"
(That was our best...
A 1991 animated feature, if I remember correctly. It seems "Rock-A-Doodle" used to be shown fairly often on the cable channels, but yeah- it's been a while. If it's a Don Bluth film, I'm sure it's pretty good.:)
One other film I liked as a kid- and haven't seen it in forever- was Rover...
Has anyone said Pepe and Seymour? I loved both of them together on Muppets Tonight. It'd be great to see Seymour pulled back out for a surprise cameo one of these days.:D
Now I'm finally seeing some news stories on this. Here's a nice piece from the LA Times and another from eCanadaNow
and one from Monsters and Critics
(I have no idea what that last site is, but I did think, given the name, it's appropriate that it's covering Sesame Street news.)
Yep, I did just that. Thanks for the tip on that one- I can't believe I never caught that before. And I'm pretty sure I've seen that sketch a number of times before as a kid. Okay, so it's not quite the same as a full on cameo appearance, but it is neat to see a picture of Dr. Teeth on Sesame...
Good call on Lefty. "O, Would You Like to Buy an O?" is certainly his classic song (and probably only. lol)
I agree that "Imagination" is also largely associated with Ernie and is certainly a great song. Of course, there's a number of other Ernie songs I love too. I think I would give "Rubber...
Or maybe one of the Muppets takes two verses for some reason. Who knows? Guess we'll find out soon.
I don't suppose the Muppets would be singing the version of The 12 Days of Christmas that they did back on the "John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together" album and/or TV special? I...
Wow- that's interesting. If not for the wording on the back, I wouldn't think anything of that shirt. I mean, just because you have a picture of two best friends under a rainbow doesn't mean they're gay. The rainbow makes me think of sunny days chasing the clouds away on Sesame Street.
But...
First off- that's funny about Oscar on The Bonnie Hunt Show! lol:grouchy::)
And
Seriously? That's awesome! I knew about Miss Piggy's picture showing on a Sesame Street sketch, but I didn't realize Dr. Teeth's photo was in a sketch too! Cool! I will have to look this up now.:D
It's kinda nice to have a signature song, isn't it? Because then, like Elton John said, you can tell everyone this is your song!:):D:sing: (okay, sorry- I just haven't been able to get that line out of my head lately. lol)
Hey- so maybe this has been done before. I don't know. But the other thread about Zoe got me thinking about trying to do such a list. So here's a few select Sesame Street Muppets and what I think could count as their signature song (though it's hard with some because they have a number of...
I can't find any articles yet either, though I did notice Wikipedia has already updated its article on Alaina Reed Hall, based on the Twitter post from Muppet News Flash.
I imagine something will be in the papers by tomorrow at least.
Shavar Ross (actor probably best known for roles as Dudley...
These two are just from people not knowing grammar.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew is named after a scientific instrument- a Bunsen burner, which in turn is named after Robert Bunsen.
(I'm guessing the Honeydew part is from honeydew melon.)
And Beaker is named after a scientific instrument- a beaker...
I think I'd like to see a documentary about Jim Henson's life before seeing a "biopic" type movie. I'm not always a huge fan of those. (And I still don't know how to pronounce that word- is it bi-opic or bio-pic?)
Sounds good to me. I mean, if your name was Zoe and there was a song called "My Name is Zoe"- it seems like it really should be your song. And you can tell everyone this is your song.;):)
