Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
How about the Jerry Nelson, Frank Oz and Jim Henson Muppets that were used on The Muppet Show? It'd be nice to see them on Sesame Street for a cameo- especially since this coming year will mark the 20th. anniversary of Jim's death.
I saw that today and was gonna post it. WOW- that was really cool to see Bip Bipadotta on Sesame Street again- AND in a Street scene. I may be wrong, but that's probably the first time he's ever been in a Street scene. And yep- he did his classic "Mahna Mahna" line. Nice!:)
Even if it comes off being more nostalgic than anything (as far as rides and attractions having changed), it's still great marketing for Disney and a chance to further emphasize their ownership of The Muppets. Any publicity is always good for a business- I'm sure Disney will want to capitalize...
Well, honestly- when I see things like that in the news and so forth, it just reminds me over and over again that we all live in a fallen world. Since Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden, we have all been under the curse of sin ever since. Romans 1:18-32 says it pretty clearly. And this is...
Oh, okay- didn't realize that.
Ha ha- yep! I've seen it in the "Count All The Way to Sesame Street" book (which I think is based somewhat on "Follow That Bird" and of course it's in the movie too.):batty:
Good ones!:)
Yes, they did- I remember seeing the advertisements for it and not being all that enthused. But it looks like it was okay.
I know what you're talking about. It's called "A Summer Story" and I was pretty shocked to actually find a direct-to-video sequel to "A Christmas Story" some 20 years or...
The Fraggle Rock cartoon was definitely set within the same time frame as the live action series. Just consider them additional Fraggle adventures to enjoy. I grew up watching this cartoon alongside the live action show (for that matter I also grew up watching Muppet Babies alongside The Muppet...
This thread is inspired by an actual vanity plate on someone's car that I saw the other day and just thought was hilarious! And thus, I had the idea for a thread about what vanity license plates would Sesame Street characters have on their cars?
Here's the one I saw that made me think of Oscar...
You have a "SCRAM" vanity license plate on your car.:grouchy:
(LOL- I actually did see this on someone's car and immediately thought- "COOL! An Oscar the Grouch fan! YES! Sesame Street RULES!")
Great Muppets appearance! It was definitely clearly inspired by the John Denver version from the "John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together" special. That's cool! I like how the audience was genuinely laughing about Fozzie missing his line and then cheering for him when he got it.:o...
Okay- so Elmo went from Brian Muehl to Richard Hunt to Kevin Clash, right? And basically he was just a background character with little, if any, lines until Kevin Clash picked him up?
Thanks for the clarification.
I definitely agree with you there- that was incredibly stupid.
Don't know about the Fox News video- I hope they were just being sarcastic and not honestly mocking Mister Rogers or Sesame Street. Those are both great children's institutions that are time-honored and still provide great...
I've heard about this movie from many other children of the '80s- though I never recall seeing it myself in the '80s. But don't worry- you're not alone in your memories of this rather bizarre movie. lol.:)
And I do recall hearing about that Midnight Madness movie before- it sounds like it would...
