4105: Super Chicken Comes to Town.

Super Grover's front and foremost in this episode's story... Getting displaced by Super Chicken.
The Mail-It-Shop runs out of packing tape and then we hear BB and some kids singing the Super Chicken song.
This heroic hen does exactly what needs to be done to get more packing tape, undo Miles's knotted shoelaces and fix the popcorn machine when Gabi tries to make some popcorn.
Grover even comes up with his own theme song, though I was hoping for Don Music to show up when he said he needed to find a songwriter.

The popcorn makes Super Chicken go berserk, eating it all, and Super Grover shames her into guilt... Shooing her away and giving super hugs to everyone else.

Two other highlights punctuate this episode.
1 Maya Angelu and Baby Natasha in a segment for the letter N.
2 And you guys are gonna love/trip/not believe this one.
Oscar The Grouch singing his own version of Bein' Green.
Though there was already a snatch of another version of Bein' Green he sang when Mrs. Freida Blecchman (his second grade teacher) came to visit him on SS.
Hope this helps.

Is anyone else getting annoyed with the little baby girl using a pancake for a "great hat" during those obnoxious commercials before the show? I don't think I want to be a father just seeing that.

Anyway, a very good episode, dispite the use of the lame "Alphalphaboy" segments, and the umpteenth viewing of "elmo's World presents birds during the course of the season (counting reruns, of course). Oscar's version of Being Green was beautiful... almost a tribute to Jim and Kermit's pre-EMTV buyout days as a recurring character on the show.

I sure hope Jay Ward Productions sues over the use of a Super Chicken , but all and all, great to see Grover as a main muppet in a plot.

Okay I am watching the new episode, the one with Super Chicken trying to steal Super Grover's job.

Probably the big highlight of this episode was Oscar singing his own version of "Bein Green". It was so cool. Everything was all green and beautiful on the street and he was saying how its not easy being the same color as all those beautiful things. Basically it is a reverse twist on the original. I appreciate the Kermit reference before he started to sing. Oscar says "As someone once said..." and then he goes into the song (with grouchier lyrics of course and a grouch chorus.) but what a lovely tribute to our favorite Frog, huh!

Another thing interesting in this episode was the Journey to Big Bird sketch. This time Ernie had to find Big Bird. However, when Ernie runs into the Two Headed Monster, they act as though they had never met because they introduce themselves. Strange because they have met before. Remember Muppet Family Christmas when Ernie cast THM as Santa?

Great episode! Probably one of the best this season.

I glanced through a few segments, but I didn't see the main plot or Oscar singing "Bein' Green." Hopefully, I'll be able to catch it on Monday afternoon.

I agree with what was said about the commercial about the girl with the pancakes. I think they have too many ads before the show in general. It used to be that PBS had no commercials at all, just ads between shows for other programs on PBS. Now, they have about five minutes worth of ads before the show starts. That really $ucks. (I don't know whether or not, they allow me to say "suck" here) Especially, now that they have this happy/healthy cold opening. You'd think they would get to theme song after that and start the show.

Oscar sings the Kermit song Being Green. what will they think of next. It was funny seeing I think it was Gabby calling Oscar beautifull. I remember a few times when I was young seeing Maria kissing Oscar, would of been funny to see her do that. I loved how Super Chicken took over SG's role. she's certainly better though it was too bad when she went crazy over the popcorn.

Somebody mentioned in the Journey To Big Bird sketch that the two-Headed Monster introduced themselves as if they hadn't known Ernie before. I don't remember this scene. Is this a different Journey to Big Bird from the one that was shown last year?

No,It was the same one. I liked the fact that Super Chicken stole Su.............per Grovers thunder,Lol.

I also liked the part where Big Bird tells everyone that popcorn is her super weakness, one cernel and she gose bananas, that was funny to me.

Dose anybody have the lyrics to Oscars the Grouches verson of Its not that easy being green, I know he said something like green's the color of slime, angry alligators and stink weed's and mabe some something else, I dont remember.

Is there Suppost to be a Journey to bert this season? If so, I cannot wait to see it.

Where did you hear that about "Journey to Bert?" That would be good and it would give Bert more air time.
