got Springsteen's Working on a Dream a bit early.. haven't listened to it yet
this cd doesnt have anything to do with the festival. Its just got a bunch of "hit" songs from the 80s (give or take a year)Hmm.. 'Monsters of Rock', the name rings a bell. Isn't that a music event?
Yeah I found I have been getting in/back into some stuff lately. Like, I found out about Wayne Shorter the other day and his saxaphone tone is simply divine. I also have really got back into Clapton and Genisis. Blood On the Rooftops is a great Genisis song. I /Really/ want to get Battle For The Sun by Placebo but I just can't find a good CD store anymore. Ugh.I've been wanting to buy a Porcupine Tree album, but on monday I did purchace the Fritz the Cat soundtrack (I had a fair bit of it already, but it had just come in on vinyl) and Emerson Lake & Palmer's (who I've been getting back into in a massive way) Trilogy. Both are friggin' awesome.
That must suck. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of CD stores around... good ones, too. There are JB HI-FI's and stuff but there's also record stores (and a really good local one) where you can find some interesting CDs. I think I've heard of Wayne Shorter somewhere, too. He's an awesome jazz musician. And as fer Clapton and Genesis... well, they rock! Genesis' 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' album is awesome-as. They're prog-era was awesome, I'm somewhat getting back into them, too. If you're into 70s prog, perhapes you'd enjoy some ELP, I'm getting back into them myself.Yeah I found I have been getting in/back into some stuff lately.
