Last one I bought was David Archuleta's debut album. The next one is sure to be Bruce's Working On A Dream.

Hmm.. 'Monsters of Rock', the name rings a bell. Isn't that a music event?
this cd doesnt have anything to do with the festival. Its just got a bunch of "hit" songs from the 80s (give or take a year)

Its along the lines of the Rolling Stone Magazine 80s Metal CD, only better :smirk:

After camp on friday I sleepily did the rounds of the op-shops and came across Rising Sun by Yvonne Elliman. I'm not very familiar with her stuff, and -to be honest- I actually bought it because the cover was perty, but she's actually got a decent voice. And she does a sweet cover of 'Best of my Love', too. =D

I've been wanting to buy a Porcupine Tree album, but on monday I did purchace the Fritz the Cat soundtrack (I had a fair bit of it already, but it had just come in on vinyl) and Emerson Lake & Palmer's (who I've been getting back into in a massive way) Trilogy. Both are friggin' awesome.

Yeah I found I have been getting in/back into some stuff lately. Like, I found out about Wayne Shorter the other day and his saxaphone tone is simply divine. I also have really got back into Clapton and Genisis. Blood On the Rooftops is a great Genisis song. I /Really/ want to get Battle For The Sun by Placebo but I just can't find a good CD store anymore. Ugh.

That must suck. I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of CD stores around... good ones, too. There are JB HI-FI's and stuff but there's also record stores (and a really good local one) where you can find some interesting CDs. I think I've heard of Wayne Shorter somewhere, too. He's an awesome jazz musician. And as fer Clapton and Genesis... well, they rock! Genesis' 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' album is awesome-as. They're prog-era was awesome, I'm somewhat getting back into them, too. If you're into 70s prog, perhapes you'd enjoy some ELP, I'm getting back into them myself.

Today my mate lent me his copy of Forfeiture by House Vs Hurricane. Not exactly an album I bought, but if you like Post-Hardcore (Silverstien, Alexisonfire) with a synth thrown in, it is really good. Catchy like trance music, but /really/ heavy.

Ok, so I didnt actually buy it (er...them) but my mom got a bunch of cds from someone. Most of them werent worth keeping. Seems like alot of them were either weird obscure bands or local band demos, buuuut there was some stuff worth Keeping. So, I found The Offspring Americana and Journey Greatest Hits, and my dad took a bunch of stuff including the Gin Blossoms second cd which he has been searching forever for. That made him extremely happy XD
