*In Ringo voice: Maybe you've been listening to Letter B one too many times there.

You know, that's probably it! Lol

Though...it does rather sound like something he'd do!

So is Ringo Star's name actually Richard?
Amazing how reality worps itself in dreams. Does anyone remember the Richard dream I posted in general discussion, where I gave his last name as Green, because at the time I had the dream, I was working for a man named Richard Green? I put it down as me trying to pawn off my superior on someone else, hehe!

Yup, Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey.

I don't remember that dream but that's really funny, Fragglemuppet! It is very strange what your mind does.

Yeah, if the mind just did ordinary, predictable things, it'd be an awfully boring world...and psychologists would be out of work.

It's 'cause the Muppet performers were fans of the Beatles, and it looks as if at least one Beatle (George) was a fan of the Muppets, I suppose.

Well, everyone, yesterday I started (and finished) "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." I won't give anything away about the plot, but all I'll say is that it was incredible.

You know, sometimes I wonder what Jim and Richard would have thought of the HP series had they been alive. Personally, I think they both would have liked the books.

Yup, there's a photo in a book about George Harrison, of him with a Kermit doll on his head, lol. There was also an interview with him and his then girlfriend (later wife) Olivia Arias from 1976. They were talking about the benefits of meditation (they were very into that):

"Caryl Starling of The Muppets walks over and presents Arias with a stuffed replica of Kermit the Frog. 'Look, he's doing one of our meditation techniques,' Arias says, sitting Kermit in the lotus position and placing his hands over his eyes, 'He's blissed out.' " Hehe, hope Kermit enjoyed that!

I can imagine Jim and Richard liking the Harry Potter series. Jim seemed very open and interested in different art forms and projects other people were doing. And the Harry Potter books are great kids books, but not too sweet or sentimental, Richard would have appreciated that, hehe.

(chuckle) Yeah, Kermit could have used some of that. After all, running the Muppet Show, doing a few movies, reporting on SS and fending off Miss Piggy probably is a tad stressful for a certain amphibian.

That's right - like the Muppet Show, the Potter books are enjoyed by all age groups - but book 7 is certainly more of a grownup's book.

I think Jim and Richard would have loved the fantasy/sci-fi element of the books - and I don't doubt that they would have loved the antics of the Weasley twins. Probably would have reminded them of Don Sahlin?

Oh yeah! I hadn't thought of that. Richard probably would have identified with the Weasley twins (and they're my favorite characters, go figure!)

Yeah, Don Sahlin was known for practical jokes. Hehe, that makes me laugh, cause I've never known anyone who had the guts to play genuine practical jokes like that (well except my Dad hehe).

You know that in one of the pilots to theMuppet Show, Sex and Violence, the Muppets are hosting a "Seven Deadly Sins" pageant. My question to you is...
What are your reactions to Richard being Lust?
Haha, that's a great question, Ed. (Ok, so I'm a few days late... y'all don't mind, do ya?) Now granted, I've only watched this once because I'm not a big fan of this pilot, but I thought the puppet was really cute and entertaining-looking, too! I had to giggle when I first saw it.

Now, I was thinking a bit about your question, Ed, and I was thinking about the different meanings of the word lust, and I actually think that it was a perfect character for Richard... because of his pure lust for life. For a person who was so spirited and energetic, who lived everyday so fully and who I can't imagine would ever let an opportunity pass by him, I think it was pretty perfect for him!

By the way Erin, I had never heard of The Lady of the Dunes before... but it's really strange! And creepy. *shudder*
